Mass Effect 3 - Part 2

Hahahah, now that's depressing. I can't imagine a Verner-less ME experience.

Who is Varner, and what makes him so important in the 360 version?

He's Shepard's biggest fan/stalker and he's absolutely hilarious.

I remember that guy when I played the first. I just finished ME2 on the PS3. I had no idea he was supposed to be in the second one. Now I feel like I haven't actually finished the whole game.

That's pretty much how I felt. I mean, I guess for someone who never had or played Mass Effect it's not a big deal... but having played through the first multiple times and missing out on Conrad in ME2 on the PS3 just really left me with an "incomplete" feeling... simply because I KNOW he's going to show up in ME3.

Glad I have both ME1 and 2 on the 360.

the thing is.......after playing ME2, I have a hard time going back and playing ME1. I just prefer the ME2 gameplay mechanics vs ME1.

so, I don't really envision myself going through ME1 AND ME2 for a complete playthrough to import into ME3.

I played the first ME1 on the PC and the second one on the PS3 and I didn't/don't miss the guy at all.

I've read the first two novels. They were pretty good. I've got the third sitting on a shelf somewhere waiting to be read after I finish my current playthrough of ME2.

I couldn't bring myself to read the ME novels after my ******* puckered reading the first DA novel. So bad.

ME1>ME2

kinda.......... its just the decisions affecting the sequel...

dammit. ME2 is ****ing awesome.

ME3 seems awesome so far....but im nervous about this MP feature....if its Co-Op MP where we can play as Sheps squad....COOL. COOL AS F***. but deathmatch type s*** ..no.

I don't know, I'd be more concerned about the idea of co-op multiplayer as opposed to competitive since that would most certainly require that the game be rebalanced/designed to accomodate a second human player without it feeling gimped/forced.

As it stands, we know that they're already improving the RPG features, they've said the game is as long as ME2, not to mention the delay and the extra dev time that it brings - it sounds like regardless we're getting a top notch ME3 experience. If on top of all that they decide to add a competitive multiplayer function maybe with a Horde type mode as well I'd be down with that.

multiplayer = where the Shepards around the world unite to save the galaxy.....or destroy each other. There can only be ONE!!

The only thing I didn't like about ME2 was how linear it felt. Like, it really came as a surprise to me how small all the locations are and that really takes immersion away from it. On top of that they added additional gamifying elements (achievement progress pop-ups, debriefing and loading screens) and it's just not as good as the first one; Although still great.

not to mention the delay and the extra dev time that it brings

I said it before but I think but with the timing of the delay, if multiplayer is announced I'm pretty sure that's where all the extra time is going so all that dev time is for a feature I couldn't care less about.

I like ME2 way more than ME1. ME1 is great, but ME2 took the series to a whole new level. More and better action, less glitches, slower loading times, less messy inventory, and I love how many things were more streamlined.

You know, I was originally in the "get your stupid MP out of my Mass Effect 3!" However... If it's like legit three player co-op and two of your buds can play as your squad mates... That would be very, very cool.

A horde mode? Not so much.
