Mass Effect 3

I feel the same way. You can tell by the way that EA has designed their marketing campaign for this game. It revolved around Shepard. Didn't Bungie talk about moving the Halo franchise forward without Master Chief? Look how that turned out. Shepard has become too big of a part of the franchise to get rid of, I think.

If that's the case (and I wouldn't be upset about it) Bioware should've never marketed this game as the "end" of Shep. Maybe then people wouldn't have been so pissed about the ending.

this.

Yeah, if the endings were what they are without being told that this is the end...they'd have this awesome Empire Strikes Back vibe about them where [blackout]Shepard is likely indoctrinated, the crew of the Normandy were shot down over some mysterious planet and stranded and the tide of the war had turned in favor of the Reapers as the big assault on Earth that we spend all game planning for had failed. It would be a cliffhanger ending of epic proportions and make me all the more hyped for ME4. But we've been told that it is the end....so we essentially have a cliffhanger ending, for the end of the story. That's the rub.[/blackout]

the ending
it wasnt as bad as people are making it out to be, but still... disappointing. so no matter what shepard dies? all the mass relays are gone? the crucible or w.e. is a freaking kid. i would have preferred shepard survived. and where the **** was the final boss? really, it was basically wave 10 on hordemode. reminds me of bioshock 2s weak finale.

Final Boss:

Was Marauder Shields.

I would like a Space Sim/Galactic Conquest style of game.

Wow. We (in the N7 Community) killed over THREE MILLION Brutes.

That's...alot of mother****ing dead Brutes.

Regarding the vent, I think people are reaching. Vancouver was under attack. I'm guessing there were at least a few power outages. Beside, since when do children listen to signs (which I'm guessing was just there for decoration anyway)? As for no one else noticing him....he is physically in two scenes. One of which is absolute chaos. I think people who see the kid as fake throughout are reading too far into it.

I kind of like that [blackout]The Illusive Man is right and Anderson is wrong. If the endings are real, control is optimal, IMO. The Illusive Man was never a bad person. He was arrogant and had a very utilitarian, end justifies the means outlook on life....but he wasn't evil. It was war and he was willing to do anything to assure humanity's dominance. Anderson on the other hand had the world view of a naive soldier. It fits that TIM was right in the end, even if he went about it the wrong way and ultimately was not strong enough to see it through and became indoctrinated.[/blackout]

The catch about the kid not being real, is that he could be the manifestation of the Reapers trying to Indoctrinate Shepard.

But, the Prothean VI scanned Shepard, and did not deem him Indoctrinated. So, was the child/reapers just trying and failing? Or does it simply take time for it to take control?

It doesn't matter how strong willed you are, either. Saren (who was seen as one of the most capable, and 'do whatever it takes', Spectre's was indoctrinated. Matriarch Benezia was one of the most powerful Asari too. The Illusive Man was no slouch, either.

It's strange to think that Bioware was selling this as the FINAL one, because it doesn't feel very final, when you consider all of the subtle clues that could explain alot of the strange stuff at the end.

hmm.....interesting......so perhaps there is a "pattern" after all.

Don't know. My squad during all of the London operation was Garrus and Ash. Miranda was my paramour. And I chose the synthesis.

The Normandy had Joker, EDI, Javik, and I believe Liara too.

Still strange, since I thought everyone, except Joker, was in London.

A little Off topic, but how do you upload a avatar?

go to your User CP ( Control Panel ). Under Settings and Options, you should see "Edit Your Avatar."

if you don't see that, you may not have enough posts yet to upload an Avatar. I think the 1st level is like 300 or 350 posts.........but I can't remember for sure.

So, uh, now EA has started to offer refunds if you bought the game via Origin IF you claim false advertising. I thiiiink this may just be in the UK, but BSN members are checking with EA to see if it applies to the US as well. Its pretty hilarious, tbh. Sure, its petty, but preeeetty hilarious.

EDIT: Its US too.

Wait...so EA is basically admitting false advertising?

The game is afoot.

Do a search on it in google, Marauder Shields is

Is the last random dude that tries to prevent you from destroying the Mass Relays. Its a internet meme now

I don't even know what to make of that.

Good customer service? Trying to stave off lawsuits? I don't get it. Why not just create the ending dlc, I think everyone would be okay with keeping their copy if they do that.

Marauder Shields is

really a hero. He was just trying to protect Shep from the crappy, confusing endings. RIP Marauder Shields.
