Matt Reeves To Direct The Upcoming Batman Solo - Part 2

I never understand this sort of wish fulfillment, or why anyone would want to see The Batman on screen with Shazam, let alone any other super-powered beings, to be honest. Batman works best alone, in his own universe. If you expect Reeves' Batman to team up with these characters, prepare for disappointment, because I'm pretty sure his negotiations to do the film hinged on him not having to adhere to any previously-established story-lines, or casting decisions. He wants to create his own Batman world.

We'll see what happens in the next 10 years, like, Marvel's biggest power player is a man in a can, and he's basically anchored the team-up films and won another world series MVP.

And we don't know what Reeves' contract says, it might be full creative freedom in his films, but the character can be used for other films....who knows.

and just like RDJ, when the guy playing Bat has done a few....logistics are there to bring him into team up films, good money, less work, if they wish to pursue, it's not impossible.

We might not get that at the end of the day, but there's nothing wrong hoping for something like this, especially the legal and business side of things all have tools to make it work...great.

News need to start flooding the web! Batman films during production is always my most hyped time to follow any new tidbit

why WB,reeves & gunn doesnt collaborate together to have batman in SS sequel...that movie drop like 2 months after.
they had to tie all this, this just upset me alot not to have any continuity anymore...dc need to build somethin off this

Pretty sure they tried this already, with Justice League, and it failed ... massively. WB definitely seems to be moving away from a shared universe. I feel like the DC characters stand best on their own, as opposed to the Marvel world, where they seem to all need each other in order to feel interesting.

I mean James Gunn and Matt Reeves like each other so there's still a chance

So the film won't be released until 2021? Well damn

Then news really isint flooding anytime soon lol

It's not a setback at all... Reeves has loads of time.

TDK started filming in April 2007 - Released in July 2008
TDKR started filming May 2011 - Released July 2012

Hell... even Batman (1989) started filming in late October 1988 before being released in June 1989.

Reeves could start shooting NEXT summer and he'd still be fine.

The first two notions... Nolan was very practical and usually ended filming before planned end date.

The third notion... Burton was shooting 85% on sound stages and miniatures, tight and confined shoot.

Honestly, if this film is ever “started” I’m guessing Matt will have more cgi than Nolan easily (maybe less than Snyder - if it is a bottle movie, like they say) and hopefully shoot outside/night and real interiors (Nolan-style).
