Would it inspire more confidence if they hated it?

LOL, touche. I guess it's just that whenever I hear something along the lines of "the suits at Warner Brothers LOVED the script/theatrical cut/etc.", it's hard to get too excited. I mean, wasn't there a report that the WB execs gave BvS a standing ovation when it was screened for them? It just all feels like PR spin. Especially when reports come out a few months after the movie was released that the original cut of the film was a mess or was absurdly long and WB stepped in to make a bunch of changes.
Hopefully that's not the case here but I don't trust WB any farther than I could throw Ninja Turtle Doomsday into space.
Yeah, and that can be good or bad. I do like Reeves a lot, so I'm really hopeful this thing gets made and that WB allows him to make the movie the way he envisions it. But I ALSO hope that the movie he envisions is something that's fairly well aligned with the Batman of the comics and not some pretentious Zach Snyder bull****. But what he did with the Planet of the Apes films really worked so hopefully he can bring that blend of new ideas and familiar concepts here.
True. I don't think they could tell the difference between a good and bad script. I'll go ahead and trust Reeves on this.Reeves turned in the bloody script, who cares about what WB thinks? They just need to support him through the whole process!
Any particular comics you hope it's aligned with?
True. I would love to see Arkham Asylum focused on in a film, and also to have the possibility of seeing a wide variety of Bat-villains in one film, even if most of them are background.I doubt it's the way he's going to go, but I'd love to see the Robin story.
Arkham Asylum is a great premise for a film and lets you showcase a lot of villains, but it works better with a long established Batman rather than the younger one Reeves is going with.
Is this crap true? They're saying there is reports that WB is done making Batman and Superman movies. I can't find the report anywhere.
Why would we shut this thread down?well, let's shut down the thread. DC has fumbled time and time again. Just cheer on Marvel as they succeed.
Be gone, troll!well, let's shut down the thread. DC has fumbled time and time again. Just cheer on Marvel as they succeed.
Why would we shut this thread down?
They're discontinuing Batman movies with Affleck, not Batman movies in general.
