: o I noticed your sig on the one stone, but not the Mars ones! Awwww now I'm sad for Veronica all over again.
Ooh it's okay, it's cause when you mentioned Simon, I remembered the red hair.
*Mwahahaha* <--evil genius laugh. The stones are a nice touch, I like that there's always more to your art than it seems![]()
^ That is one of your finest so far dude! great work![]()
great work, man!
but isn't he about to get rocked by some baddies?
TURN AROUND!!
Nah he's safe, the ghosts of Keith, Veronica and Matt are there to help![]()
Great piece. Your coloring is always jaw dropping.![]()
Ok, just a few favs up there ^^
How do you come up with such consistently amazing work?
I'm loving those cards by the way, they're right in line with my sense of humour. You've got me trying to think of some too now! hahaha
Oh, and Santa and Jesus arm wrestling....? GENIUS!!!
Here was in inspiration for my Leela pic...

Not completely happy with this, but I lost steam when I had to recreate the final from the scan of a printout, after I lost the file.
Anyway, I threw in some blood, and called it a day!

Let me know what you think.
Well, "consistently amazing" is quite the complement! Thanks for that. Very very nice to hear.
As for the nod to my cards, glad you like them. I have such a bizarrely specific sense of humor that generally involves much explanation, so I often feel like I find those cards WAAAAAAY funnier than anyone who receives them.
This years xmas card is gonna be one of two things (i may post a poll to see which seems funnier)
1) santa riding a unicorn, shirtless.
2) a santa paper doll, with different paper outfits with varying degrees of inappropriateness.
Love it. I think it´s my fav, just next to the slam dunk Jesus...
Well, it's not very often that a ACTUALLY "lol", but i sure did with those new suggestions. It's gotta be the paper doll though. I just wana see santa in a geisha outfit, or maybe a PVC gimp mask and posing pouch hahaha

I'll keep you updated.
This actually looks really good so far. Remember, the most important thing with realistic drawing is the pencil outline. If that outline is perfect, then everything in between will fall into place.
The only thing I notice is that the face seems to be a bit skewed and the bottom half of it looks to be leaning to the left too much. The best way to eliminate this problem is to check out the pic in a mirror or turn it around and hold it up to the light. Looking at a pic in reverse will help you identify anything that doesn't look in proportion.
But the body (especialy the left forearm) and the shading look awesome! Can't wait to see more!
I agree with keith_v. the face seems off, but only if you look at it too long...btw, who is it a picture of?
Edit: here's an animation of my progress.

Here's the final.
For my first more realistic thing in years, I'm happy enough with it. All the work I've done coloring pics in photoshop made the shading process with a pencil much faster, from what I remember.

nice! it's hypnotizing! hehe
Thats really nice. Just curious... did you reference the original image as you went along or do the initial sketch from the image then work blind?
Very sweet.
Very different from your usual
Very nice! The only thing I would do is possibly increase the contrast on the dress. And just out of curiousity, are the dark areas on the pic darker in real life? Because in the small image you showed of the pic half done, the dark areas were jet black.
Here's the final.

Thanks? I think you may have confused Le Diable Blanc's post of a professional pic of Simon as being my work. I will agree, however, that if I had done that picture, it would have been my finest work BY FAR!![]()
