SO! The question now is whether RDJ's contracted involvement in Avengers 3 span both Parts, or does he bite the dust at some point in Part 1 to raise the stakes?

Hmm...

Iron Man will be there for the end. From the beginning to the end. What I fear is that is probably it for RDJ, Evans, Scarjo and Hemsworth.

I'm actually really excited for Civil War. Identities are not a big deal in the MCU but I do like the idea of the government/SHIELD trying to register all superheroes and some resisting. That theme works great.

I don't know the character very well to be honest, I didn't know she was Kree! I'm only familiar from her in the New Avengers.
That makes sense, that logo is growing on me then. Although I do still think the blue could be implemented a little stronger throughout the whole thing. All in all though like I said, it's actually growing on me.

Well, she was born fully human, but the explosion/accident that gave her her powers was described as overlaying the genetic template of the original Captain Marvel (a Kree name Mar-Vell), causing her to gain a perfect hybrid of Kree and Human physiology (though she still looks 100% human).

They originally had a release date but changed it to a new one, so the logo is kinda taking the piss out of that.

What excites me most about Civil War is that Marvel's connectiveness will be showcased outside of an Avengers film.

Maybe we could heroes popping up in each other's films more (BW was in Cap 2, of course, but through the connective tissue of SHIELD)

Yeah after the criticism of Iron Man 2 they went the other way and we didn't get enough connective stuff in the solo films. Nice to see.

You don't get a lot of humor huh? It's a play on the takeaway from the first film that they are a ragtag bunch of misfits. Therefore they just slapped it on like a punk kid would graffiti a poster

You gotta like how all these big heroes like Black Panther and Iron Man are blowing in on Captain America's sequel and how just because it's Marvel it's just fine.

It's Marvel's way of having GotG being kind of outsiders and less refined than the rest of the MCU, hence the scribbled in 2 and now the new release date replacing the one announced at Comic-Con this year.

I still hope the Society of Serpents make an appearence, i always love snake themed things lol.

My only disappoints are no Black Widow and the fact Avengers 3 is a 2-parter, i really hate that trend which Harry Potter began.

I'm so stoked for Black Panther, Thor, Captain Marvel, Inhumans and GOTG 2 and of course Cap 3.

I'm not crazy about what's happening in the word (it adds a nice contrast to the rest of the picture so I like the color, but not so much the texture) but I'm very impressed by the rock/slab background that the Thor logo is resting on.
The rest of them, especially Dr. Strange and Black Panther, don't look as good.
The Captain Marvel one is especially interesting, because I actually don't hate the type choice but the blue texture used so sparingly, showing up mainly on the left side is just so.... bizzare.

I see what you're saying. The rock texture is a great touch, I'm just not thrilled with the red I guess.

I definitely agree with you on Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. A little bit more could have been done with those. The Strange logo looks to similar to BP's (which I think is perfect, btw).

Okay I get what they were going for, but It looks stupid IMO..

Wow, thats some announcement, I have to say, while they all excite me, I think Inhumans is the one that has me salivating in anticipation. That movie has so much potential, and Blackbolt is a big player in the grand scheme of things in the comics, he should be introduced asap.

Black Panther could be great as well, while Captain Marvel I am a little skeptical on, but the character has a lot of potential. Had to check GOTG2 was still coming out in 2017 as well, thats 3 Marvel movies that year.

And yeah, and 2 part Infinity Gauntlet storyline and THAT image of Thanos? Amazing stuff!

It's crazy to think that Marvel Studios is now too big for SD Comic-Con haha. The level of Hype they are able to generate for something like this would probably have incited a riot if they did this at SDCC
