Yeah, and that's what I wonder about. For example, will the first episode just be a young Matt Murdoch getting chemicals spilled on his face? Then, 12 years later we get episode 2 where Matt's in law school. Just wonderin'......
I doubt there will be timejumps this big between episodes, more within episodes as flasback scenes.
but we will find out soon enough

Sorry this has probably been answered before, but is there a reason Marvel don't have a film coming out in July 2016?

Are they...supposed to?

All the other years they have a film in July (even with 2 a year). In 2016 they have one in May and another in November. It may be a case of Doc Strange being delayed or the fact that they prefer to put it in November for less competition. It just stands out a bit.

Dr Strange works thematically better in autumn anyway and Ben is playing Hamlet on stage this year so that might have influenced the schedule a little bit too

They don't usually have a November film. But they delayed the production of Dr. Strange to accommodate Benedict Cumberbatch (at least, they likely did, there was no official announcement of that, they just quietly moved the date right around the same time they cast him). That's why there's no film in July.

Thor 2 was release in November. And Black Panther and Inhumans are set for November. Ant-Man was originally slated for Nov 2015

OK, it's important to split that into two parts.

Thor 2 was released in November but that also fits the same pattern: No July release.

Going forward, they feel confident enough to have three movies a year. So they're planning on having a July and a November movie.

I wish they would have kept it in November. It follows too quickly behind Age of Ultron. Now I'm going to have nothing to look forward to between August and December.

It would have been right between Bond and Katniss. Not ideal.

I was just thinking.... currently, I don't own a Blu-Ray player. I still have a DVD player and am happy with that. But even when I do eventually get round to buying a Blu-Ray player, I'm going to keep on getting the Marvel films on DVD. Why? So I can hold off and get the eventual 21-film Blu-Ray boxset that will likely be out in time for Christmas 2019!

I'm such a sucker that I've been buying the blu-rays all along, and I no doubt will be buying each boxset lol. Ive already got the Phase 1 set, and when/if the phase 2 boxset comes out it'll probably be a first day purchase for me.

I wish they would bring out a DVD with all the one-shots on i for those who didn't get the Blu-Rays. I haven't seen these one shots.

This is REALLY awesome and similar to the Phase 1 attache case set drawings. Have you seen a Phase 1 graphic similar to your post? I would love to see it.

Me too. I sadly have all 10 available BDs (3D version when available) all together with "AoS" Season 1 and the Phase 1 attache case separated from my other movies. Redundant but I couldn't help myself. What kind of case/box/unit do you think Phase 2 will come in that's germane to the films?

I would buy it in an instant. I love that PIXAR supplies such a thing (and in two volumes thus far no less!) and so far Warner Premiere has as well with the DCUAOM shorts.

^Isn't Ant Man phase 3?

In regards to Agents of Shield,

I keep stressing that it can be enjoyed entirely on its own at any time, with things making 100% sense relative to its own self-contained narrative. It's just that if you first tell someone who doesn't know anything about history the history of WWII and then that of WWI as if that was the chronological order things happened, some things won't match up, even though both are perfectly understandable on their own.

This.

Not worth it to me, and Marvel would never do that. Sony has forever screwed up that Spider-man franchise, there's almost no repairing it.
Forever? There have been worser comic book movies (Hulk (not incredible), Captain America (90s), Batman and Robin...) that succeeding movies blew out of the water (Incredible Hulk and Avengers, CA:TWS, Dark Knight...).

^Isn't Ant Man phase 3?
They originally said it was going to be, but at the Phase 3 announcement event in October it was revealed that they changed their minds and are having it close out Phase 2 instead. Phase 3 will kick off with Captain America: Civil War.

No. They initially said that it'd begin Phase Three (it makes sense to close out each "phase" with an Avengers film imo). But they've apparently changed their minds and now it's the last film in Phase Two (which makes less sense imo).

I guess it could be seen as a sort of epilogue to the Phase, Ant-Man will most likely not be a very big film, and they seem to know that, with Edgar Wright gone it seems liek they're looking at it as a one-shot property.

I'm not sure how the comic was received but i'd love for Thanos Rising to be incorporated into the MCU. Just a taste of how insane the Mad Titan is and a glimpse at Death would make everything that bit sweeter.

Unless it's successful. Think they are looking at all of the new films in that light. If they do well they'll turn them into franchises, if not move on to the next lot.

The potential addition of Chiwetel Ejiofor isn't really much of a surprise. He's been a fancast for years in various movies. Secondly, when promoting 12 Years a Slave, he was asked by Frosty from Collider.com about superhero films and expressed interest but none of the big bosses had talked to him about it.

Apparently, that has changed.
