What I don't understand is why they moved BP before IF part one. Wouldn't it have made more sense to stick it on Captain Marvel's November date? Or put AntMan and The Wasp on Captain Marvels date?
I'm not all that jazzed about that myself.but I am sort of bummed they decided to push back Captain Marvel. It's kind of bitter sweet for me.
Great news on Ant Man & Wasp!!
I don't think one of them is FF. Even if Marvel does get the rights back, it seems way too soon to immediately launch ANOTHER movie when the last train wreck is still so recent.
And the FF aren't like Spider-Man where there's a need to get them into the MCU regardless of interest because they generate so much merchandising cash.
It's quickly fading from the General Public's minds and by 2020, Hardly anyone outside of the geek community will remember Fant4stic, it's not too soon. The only way a FF can succeed at this point is if it is under Marvel's control. Ant-Man showed how powerful the Marvel brand is.

It doesn't seem too odd to me. After all, before the deal with Sony and bringing the Spider-Man solo reboot film into the mix, Black Panther's original date at the Phase 3 announcement last year had it coming out before IW Pt. 1 (in the November 2017 spot that Thor: Ragnarok now has). If they're willing to move that film around (to either before or after IW Pt. 1) then it must be standalone enough that it can be shifted. That - or maybe they always knew there was a good chance they would move it back to a pre IW Pt 1 spot (with the final decision hinging on whether Ant-Man would do well enough for a sequel)?I'm hoping one of those untitled movies is a Black Widow film.
I'm really glad we'll be getting more of Hope VanDyne as the Wasp, but I am sort of bummed they decided to push back Captain Marvel. It's kind of bitter sweet for me.

Although I do find it interesting that Captain Marvel is now set to come out a month before DC's Shazam.
Yeah, a Black Widow movie is (finally) a distinct possibility at this point. Runaways as well (Feige mentioned being interested in them). So they pushed Carol's movie back AGAIN, not helping your case their Marvel. Oh and Hope gets to do something this time around, good. Should have happened before, but better late than never I guess.
You'd be surprised how long people remember stuff.
And either way, this hinges on the idea that Fox either let the rights lapse or is now working with Marvel. The latter hasn't been announced and the former can't possibly have happened since they just bought themselves more time by releasing the last one.
But with the mega-flop of Fant4stic, Fox now knows that in their hands, Fantastic Four will always be a toxic property. They'd be INSANE not to make a deal with Marvel at this point.

Unless they're content to just sit on the property as they did for a number of years before hand.
But either way, if they had agreed to share the rights or sell them back outright, I'm sure we'd have heard something by now. The FF back at Marvel would be huge news, even in discussion phases.
