I wonder what the untitled films are? Maybe a Spider-man sequel?

Well on is definately a Spider-Man sequel. The I cant guess but look forward to anyways.

I'm hoping one of those untitled movies is a Black Widow film.

I'm really glad we'll be getting more of Hope VanDyne as the Wasp, but I am sort of bummed they decided to push back Captain Marvel. It's kind of bitter sweet for me.

What I don't understand is why they moved BP before IF part one. Wouldn't it have made more sense to stick it on Captain Marvel's November date? Or put AntMan and The Wasp on Captain Marvels date? Although I do find it interesting that Captain Marvel is now set to come out a month before DC's Shazam.

People have speculated the cosmic nature of the film might somehow tie into Infinity War. It makes more sense to push CM during the Infinity event if that's the case.

RUNAWAYS MARVEL. C'mon, RUNAWAYS. In one fell swoop you solve a bunch of your diversity problems.

Black Widow(featuring Hawkeye), Spider-Man 2, if we're lucky "Marvel's Fantastic Four", and thats the three I can think of.

Someone want to do a list of the release dates?

Can't really comprehend that well in a block of text

I'm not all that jazzed about that myself.

Ok, looking at it now, it makes sense to toss AM&W in between both IF's because of the Quantum realm. And as someone said above, guess it makes sense to have CM still between both IFs for the same reason. I would rather they put Ant-Man in March rather than Captain Marvel, but maybe CM will hype people for the second part of IF.

2016
Civil War - May
Dr. Strange - November

2017-
GOTG 2 - May
SpiderMan - July
Thor - November

2018-
BP - Feb
IF p1 - May
Ant-Man and Wasp - July

2019
Captain Marvel - March
IF P2 - May
InHumans - July

My guesses are:

May 1, 2020 - Runaways
July 10, 2020 - Fantastic Four
November 6, 2020 - Black Widow

And no, one of them is not a Spider-Man sequel. Spider-Man is still owned by Sony. (even though Marvel has creative control)

Yeah, a Black Widow movie is (finally) a distinct possibility at this point. Runaways as well (Feige mentioned being interested in them). So they pushed Carol's movie back AGAIN, not helping your case their Marvel. Oh and Hope gets to do something this time around, good. Should have happened before, but better late than never I guess.

But Spider-Man is still on the Phase 3 slate so Spider-Man 2 the 3rd is still a possibility. Can't wait for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

I don't think one of them is FF. Even if Marvel does get the rights back, it seems way too soon to immediately launch ANOTHER movie when the last train wreck is still so recent.

And the FF aren't like Spider-Man where there's a need to get them into the MCU regardless of interest because they generate so much merchandising cash.

It's quickly fading from the General Public's minds and by 2020, Hardly anyone outside of the geek community will remember Fant4stic, it's not too soon. The only way a FF can succeed at this point is if it is under Marvel's control. Ant-Man showed how powerful the Marvel brand is.

You'd be surprised how long people remember stuff.

And either way, this hinges on the idea that Fox either let the rights lapse or is now working with Marvel. The latter hasn't been announced and the former can't possibly have happened since they just bought themselves more time by releasing the last one.

I agree with this. Not many people even remember the original F4 films. I'd like to see them introduced in someone else's film 1st though

It doesn't seem too odd to me. After all, before the deal with Sony and bringing the Spider-Man solo reboot film into the mix, Black Panther's original date at the Phase 3 announcement last year had it coming out before IW Pt. 1 (in the November 2017 spot that Thor: Ragnarok now has). If they're willing to move that film around (to either before or after IW Pt. 1) then it must be standalone enough that it can be shifted. That - or maybe they always knew there was a good chance they would move it back to a pre IW Pt 1 spot (with the final decision hinging on whether Ant-Man would do well enough for a sequel)?

Captain Marvel only got pushed back four months. It is hardly the end of the world.

Also Black Panther is now being released during Black History Month.

But with the mega-flop of Fant4stic, Fox now knows that in their hands, Fantastic Four will always be a toxic property. They'd be INSANE not to make a deal with Marvel at this point. If Fox sells the rights to the F4 for the X-Men tv show then Marvel can slowly start intergrating F4 characters into other MCU films - like Silver Surfer playing a part in Infinity War and Galactus making a cameo, Johnny appearing in a Spider-Man film etc - until finally, there is a demand for another Fantastic Four film. Fox doesn't have this luxury because they can't crossover X-Men & F4, they would be smart to sell their toxic asset for something that can actually make them lots of money.

Unless they're content to just sit on the property as they did for a number of years before hand.

But either way, if they had agreed to share the rights or sell them back outright, I'm sure we'd have heard something by now. The FF back at Marvel would be huge news, even in discussion phases.

Very excited about the Ant Man sequel, personally I hope one of the 2020 movies is a Hulk sequel.

This is a pleasant surprise, since I thought Marvel's Phase 3 slate was locked in after the acquisition of the Spider-Man rights. I'm glad we'll get to see Ant-Man and Wasp in action in their own movie again.

I'm really happy that they pushed up the date for Black Panther. I never thought it was a wise idea for them to release it after Infinity War Part 1.

Captain Marvel being pushed back doesn't bother me too much since it's only four months and it's still being released before Infinity War Part 2 anyway.

You can bet that one of the untitled films is Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

People remember and this last one left a huge stench. I think if they get the property back they're more likely to use the villains like Doom, Kang, Galactus or make a Silver Surfer movie than they are to start of with another F4.

Fox wouldn't announce they relinquished the FF. They'd let Marvel announce it at their leisure. Lionsgate never announced that they relinquished Punisher or Man-Thing, same with New Line & Blade, and same with Sony & Ghost Rider.
