Right but he's then banished from Olympus and joins the Avengers only to return to Olympus when it's under attack. Once they get Hercules in the MCU it shouldn't be a problem but the ending of his origin was is like the Thor movie.

Actually in comics Herc was sent by Zeus to Earth to be a part of thie new age of Marvels. He wasn't banished to learn any sort of lesson in humility. Though you could do a story like that in say a Thor film to give Thor and Herc some kind of bond ect. I suppose.

Phase 4: Dark Regin
Phase 5: Kang (Nathaniel Barton)
Phase 6: Doctor Doom

Doctor Doom should be the next Thanos-level Big Bad, who is built up through each of the phases. This, of course, is dependent on Marvel getting the FF right back, which I think will be inevitable.

Don't give into Mephisto's temptations! Only bad things happen.

A lot of ideas are owned by Fox or at least Fox complicates things:
Dr. Doom
The Skrulls (Secret Invasion)
Kang the Conqueror

Kang was the default option for awhile. Fox frankly shouldn't own the rights, but they apparently do. I can see the concern about another cosmic threat, but I think he's sufficiently different with the element of time.

Secret Invasion would just be a lot of fun. Reports are that Marvel at least has partial rights to the Skrulls, but they would do far more justice towards them with the Fantastic Four leading the way.

Dr. Doom is flat out off limits and shouldn't be done without the FF first anyway.

Don't worry, I'm not going to pull a One More Day type of deal. Me and MJ are sticking together. :o

I really hope that they do justice when they finally introduce the real Mandarin. Since their doing Baron Mordo which will introduce mystic element into the MCU in Doctor Strange. I think the magical ten Rings from Fing Fan Foom doesn't seem like a stretch anymore.

I think with the recent marvel arrangements. We have a better chance of seeing the mystical side of the MCU at it's full potential. Because up until AoU, they tried to explain every magical thing with some sort of science.

I am even more excited to see Doctor Strange because of this.

Well, with most of Thor's world the explanation has only been that magic and science is the same thing, which could actually be contrary to our world where magic is what we don't understand and science is what we do understand. There haven't been any scientific explanations to how Mjolnir works, how Loki and Frigga does their magic, etc.

They will delve deeper into pure magic with Doctor Strange, since it's the main focus of that character, but even there it sounds like they might mix in some correlation with science.

Dr Doom need to be done right in a Fantastic Four movie first. That seem like it never going to happen.

Where do people think the next Infinity Stones are showing up?

I'm guessing one in Thor Ragnarok and one in the first part of Infinity War

I could see IM's rogues gallery being given its due justice in the next batch of solos.

Process of elimination. Civil War won't have one. Spiderman is highly unlikely to have one. If you believe all the stones will be introduced before IWpt1, then that only leaves Stange, GotG, and Thor before IWpt1. Strange won't obviously have one but it is the most likely. The other is a coin flip between GotG and Thor. My money is on Strange and GotG.

Should IW1 be off the table? I wouldn't be surprised if that part was a race between the Avengers and Thanos for the last gem.

That depends on where it is located. It's not like Earth has the technology to go to other planets so racing with Thanos is a losing proposition. And having more than one Infinity Stone hidden on Earth is too coincidental (recall the Tesseract was hidden in Norway before Red Skull retrieved it).

The Mind Stone was brought here by Loki in his failed attempt to conquer Earth. Dr. Strange would gather a stone presumably from another dimension or whatever. Those stones are what would draw Thanos to Earth, not a doomed to fail race between a cosmic force (who would already possess several stones) and some pitiful humans.

The Guardians do, and the Asgards have the Bifrost and their own vehicles. Last Infinity Stone or not, I don't see I-War happening predominantly on Earth.

The Guardians don't know anything about the Avengers until they reach Earth. They will only be drawn to Earth because they are following Thanos after he smashes Xandar and Knowhere. Asgard will likely be destroyed by Surtur in Ragnarok and won't be much help. This doesn't even consider the fact that the Avengers know nothing of the Infinity Stones and what they can do. Thor knows, kinda, but he has declined to share that information with anyone to this point.

I do expect Thor, after the destruction of Asgard, to head to Earth to warn everyone of what is coming. Whether they heed his warnings or not is another matter.

Earth is the last stop for Thanos, not the first, second, or fifth. The fight ends here.

Well, there is almost an entire phase between now and the first Infinity War to resolve those issues, none of which seem difficult to resolve in the first part of Infinity War tbh. It may be for those reasons why they need 2 movies in the first place. I still wouldn't be surprised if the last Infinity Stone doesn't debut until Infinity War proper and is the missing piece that drives the action.

Why wouldn't they heed Thor's warnings?

Its a two-part movie. The climax might be on Earth, but that doesn't mean the Avengers won't leave it prior to the finale.

These films also have to deal with their own stories. Surtur and Loki's betrayal in Ragnarok and meeting daddy's or whatever happens in GotGv2.

At this point, your guess is as good as mine.

Why wouldn't they heed Thor's warnings?

I'm hedging. Some folks around here are insisting IWpt1 is going to consist of the "B" team getting wrecked which means any warning given by Thor would be ignored. Like Tony's and Cap's feud matters when the universe is at stake.

Honestly, I expect the weight of Thor's words to be a galvanizing force for the team.

Leave just to come back? Nah. In the immortal words of Eminem: Am I coming or going? I can barely decide.

It won't matter what condition the Earth is in if the universe is destroyed
