If they release the FF movie in 2021 it will be 6 years since the 2015 mess of a movie and it will be the 60th anniversary of the FF it just makes so much sense.

Yep, I hope they do Fantastic Four first, but just start laying the groundwork for X-Men. No need to rush things.

I agree, it makes sense for the F4 to come first. Hopefully that isn't in 2026. It's already been 4 years since Trank's film and 2021-2022 will have been 6-7 years. That's enough time.

I also want to see the Surfer/Galactus and Doom show up in the next 3 years of the MCU. Maybe even hints at Annhilus and Blastaar. Possibly Psycho Man too

Adding FF to the slate shouldn't disrupt the flow of Phase 4 too much either. I wonder what would happen to Spider-Man 3 if the Sony deal got renewed since it would have to be out by 2021. How crazy would a slate like this be.

Feb - Black Panther 2

April- Doctor Strange 2

July- Spider-Man 3

November - Fantastic Four

Say the Sony deal gets renewed but Marvel are already looking at a 2021 date for FF. Would Spider-Man 3 get bumped to 2022 or would FF get bumped to 2022? Or do they just let Sony release Spider-Man 3 in July and do Fantastic Four in November? we could get 4 MCU films in 2021. This slate also assumes Shang-Chi would release in late 2020.

I think that's what they'll do. And waiting 5 years for Xmen movie will make people miss them. Their first movie will have so much hype that it might gross close to 800m or even crack a billion if they play their cards right.

Id rather have human torch in Spider-Man 3. Then again nothing is stopping them from having Iceman in there as well.

The X-Men at least have 4. They can wait.

I always knew we would get F4 before Xmen. It easier to reboot them into the MCU too

Stark Tower becomes Baxter building. Introduce Reed as the buyer and new owner in an upcoming movie. Easy.

I can see the value in going this route to plant the seeds. Also I'd like for there to be no explanation for mutants showing up in the films they do. I think that would definitely offset an eerie tone in the MCU overall. You could drop subtle hints like a news broadcast in the background of a scene that eagle-eyed fans can spot. Wed only get the explanation in the actual X-Men movie as to build hype/mystery around the mutant phenomenon/silent rise that is happening across movies and off screen.

A version of "And his amazing friends" would be perfect for the third film. The first run of Ultimate comics: Spider-Man focused on Bobby and Johnny living in May's house as basically Peter's surrogate brothers. Really great stuff I'd love to see in the third Spider-Man film

One thing I noticed no one seems to be paying attention to is the russos basically confirming Marvel are going to do secret wars at some point.

Since the deal between Disney and Fox came to a close, fans have longed for information regarding the future for X-Men and Fantastic Four characters. Avengers: Endgame, however, finished production before the deal was accomplished and its directors are in no hurry to shove them into their ensemble film.


"It would not have been," Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo told ComicBook.com when asked if it would have been possible to shoot something involving the characters. "That deal didn't actually officially close until a week and a half ago. It would not have been logistically possible."

"We will get there," Anthony Russo added.


"We'll get to Secret Wars one day," Joe Russo concluded.

It's not good news to a lot of people who were excited about the prospects of getting these characters back. It makes sense that they be disappointed..

Sure. But like I said, it's not the end of the world. I'm sure when they get around to making an X-Men movie, it'll be great.

Has there been any news about The Gifted yet? I’m so curious if they’ll give it a wrap up season or just kill it.

I suspect that's mostly up to Fox and whether they want to pay for another season. I doubt they'd shop the show to another network (not that other networks usually pick up shows), but I suspect they'll continue it as long as they're getting paid to do so.

That is one, but this doesn't mean we're getting new Thor, Cap, Iron Man, etc. Plus, Hawkeye has been exactly no one's favorite Avenger anyway, so this is not a replacement anyone would care about. He's never headlined a movie or anything.

Glad to hear that last line about Secret Wars lol. It’s been mentioned enough times now and the Russos have enough stock with Feige that I think it is already on the MCU plansheet, even if many, many years away in a much later phase.

I know but this is a good sign of Marvel being open to the idea. I hope Bucky or Falcon do become the next Cap. We get She-Hulk and maybe Riri Williams or Iron Lad to fill that gap. Thor probably won't die because of Taika
