I loved the musical ep, but no musical ep holds a candle to the Buffy one. Sorry Scrubs.

I wasnt a fan of Buffy after the 3rd season. The musical episode was ok, but it was of course in the Flash realm, so Kara had to bow to their writers and showrunners.

And I agree DR hell the big number of the episode didnt even have the leads in it.

Riverdale did a better job than Flash/ Supergirl.... Their episode was actually a musical.

Everyone does a proper musical except Flash/Supergirl.

I think they should just have a Supergirl musical episode. Forget Flash. It's too many people to cater for. With Supergirl, you've got Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, Chris Wood, Andrea Brooks, Tyler Hoechlin, Calista Flockhart and possibly more. If Laura Benanti were still in it she could join in too.

Yeah Most of the younger cast of Riverdale can sing. The Flash/ Supergirl one had to have a lot of guest stars to pull it off.

It didn't "have to have them" - the leads of both shows can sing, along with a lot of their regulars. They just didn't use all of them some reason. I think they just saw an opportunity to bring back some guest stars and went with it.

There was only 1 guest star that hasn't been on another CW show, so no they didn't need to bring in guest stars to pull it off. The problem really wasn't that, it was just that the biggest musical number in the episode had neither of the leads in it except to be standing by and watching, which to me was pretty stupid. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with rehearsals and the leads being on their respective shows working, but to me if you can't do it right, then don't do it.

When is that from? She looks really cute there and rather young. But she has very blonde hair too, so it must be recent. She doesn't normally have those bangs does she? I like them on her and hope she might incorporate them into her look as Supergirl.

This’ll have to be Kara’s new look they start filming in eight weeks or so. TV actresses very rarely do wigs as part of a character’s main look. It’s not practical especially with an action role. LoL the guys get new suits and Kara gets a new haircut. Just to be clear I adamantly don’t want a new suit. I’m cool with the battle suit on occasion, but the costume designer nailed the main suit the first time. Please let’s not start on the suit discussion, I just wanted to point out that there’s more than one way to update a character’s look. I like the color and the length. The shorter length will change Kara Danvers’ signature updos. I’m not a big fan of bangs in general, at least these are long. Melissa’s face is so expressive I hate to see it covered up and I’m not sure how Kara’s glasses will look. Bangs grow out quickly, they could be nearly an inch longer by the time filming starts and the style of them should make it possible to push them back. If she’s happy with the look then I’m more than willing to role with it.

I like the bangs on her and think it makes Melissa look really cute. I want to see that on Supergirl and hope she doesn't go back to her original hairstyle for the start of filming.

Sorry DR in a recent picture the bangs are definitely growing out, she obviously hasn't had them trimmed to maintain the style. Melissa's hair grows fast. In another few weeks they'll be back to normal for Kara, heck they're practically grown out already. Assuming she doesn't get a haircut before filming starts in a few weeks I don't think we'll see a drastic change to Kara's look. It'll be like Kara just recently got a bit shorter than usual haircut since the events of the finale. I actually sometimes notice when she gets a cut during the season and that doesn't bother me, like anyone Kara gets her hair done too. It tends to be longest at the very end on the season probably because both the actress and the character don't have time for a trim.

Boo. She needs to keep her bangs. I wanted a cute Kara with that style. Her hair also seems to be getting darker as well. She needs some highlights to keep it blonder.

You'd be stunned what can be done regarding dramatic aging with the right makeup. In either direction.

She looks so much like my years 1999/2000 girlfriend here who hardly wore any makeup. Sigh...
