Thanks. That's a cute interview. :ilv:

No problem. And I agree, it was very cute.

Do we have another Crisis on our hands? :D

Melissa is cute. I wish she'd go blonder though. Sometimes it looks quite brown.

I think they use extensions when she is Supergirl and it looks much lighter.

I like her hair it's natural color, I'm glad they don't use the platinum blonde of the comics. I really don't like when they go the full on platinum in the movies or tv series just because it is that way in the comics. ie: Sue Storm/Fantastic Four, it just looked dumb.

I think its light enough when she is Supergirl.

After all these movies and TV shows are "BASED ON" the characters. I cannot say anymore if you had them EXACTLY LIKE in the comics it would take away some of the artistic value.

I agree with this. it's a nitpick I still have with the show.......lol.

Still bummed that Catwoman was blonde in Batman Returns and they carried that over to Batman:The Animated Series. What ever else you want to say about Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, at least they got Catwoman's hair color right.

I thought Catwoman was blonde and was shocked to see her with black hair in the comics. I really didnt like that for the longest time

I think her hair looks good the way it is. She's not a natural blonde so if she went lighter she runs the risk of looking very fake and unnatural which I think would be worse than what we have

My theory (which is mine): Since TPTB rejected the traditional brunette wig disguise, Kara’s natural “blonde” hair needed to be relatively innocuous.. I.e., it would be a tad suspicious if both SG and Kara were striking, platinum blondes. :word: So they compromised between tradition and practicality and used a common, mid-range color. (Plus which, Benoist probably didn’t want to be a platinum blonde.)

Since when does Kara ever have platinum blonde in the comics? Platinum blonde is how Black Cat's hair is described. It is an almost silver-blonde.

At most, I would say it is either a honey blonde or ash blonde in the comics. It is definitely not silvery or the colour of platinum.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is a brunette in real life, but she dyed her hair blonde and it looked fine. In fact, Helen Slater is also a brunette originally and she looked fine with a honey blonde shade. I don't see why Melissa couldn't have something like that and still look natural.

Of course if she goes for either a platinum shade or a peroxide blonde (like Marilyn Monroe had) it would look unnatural. But who is asking for that?
