I guess I'm the only one who who actually likes the costumes, except for maybe Sub-Zero.

Liu Kang: Still not sold on this whole Jin Kazama thing he has going.

Kung Lao: Captures the spirit of his costume pretty well despite the Straw hat..though the blade is under the brim.

Kitana/Mileena:I liked their costumes a bit when I first saw them but it looks MUCH better on them imo. Also, Samantha Jo looks BREATHTAKING imo.

Ermac: I'm guessing that the guy in the hooded cloak is Ermac....The cloak I dont mind but he should be wearing a mask.....Assuming that IS him.

Raiden: The design is a bit different but apparently it's still him and it's looks like he has the iconic hat on his back. Not to mention, he's asian this time which is also cool.

Subzero: Not feeling the armor over his costume but I'm assuming that he WILL take it off at some point. If he doesnt I'll be disappointed.

Scorpion: While I yearn for a better costume design, It doesnt look quite bad and the more traditional mask is a nice touch

Johnny Cage: Outfit seems the capture the spirit of the Character with the shades but It's going to take a while to warm up to this actor and his beard.

Shang Tsung: Like the design of his costume pretty well but it still looks funny having him bald and whatever those things are on his arms, he can do without.

Kenshi: I like that apparently in the storyline he'll cut his hair and dawn an outfit closer to his known look during the episode. So it woudn't upset fans too much. Since the pics KT releases showing prior to his blindless has him with Long hair and feudal Japanesque garb.

Stryker: Not suprised with the look he has but still wished it was closer to atleast his Armageddon design and I still think Eric would look better as Johnny Cage based on looks. He's passionate about the character though so I'm interested in his performance.


QUALITY RATIO: 50/50
 
Scorpion and Shang Tsung look pretty good, but Sub-Zero....wtf!? I'm sorry, but I've seen far better cosplay outfits. Though, I'll still check this out, I guess.
 
When does the movie start filming?,Will it be the same cast&crew or just same characters/universe?
 
can't wait for the premiere! anyone know how many episodes we are getting? i hope it's more than the 1st season and that they are longer running episodes, not 10 minutes like the 1st season.

I doubt the MOVIE has been filmed,IF it has then when is the teaser trailer being released?,Is is being released by WB?,Any movie images&info?

Well you knew I was talking about the movie version in my first post and so I thought it was weird you replied by talking about S2

Didnt ya know? Paintballing is one of Sub-zero's new hobbies. XD
 
I wish they would have given Raiden long white hair. That's been canon in the games since Deadly Alliance. Without that or the hood, he just seems too mundane for a thunder god.
 
That's kind of the problem with all of them, IMO. With the exception of Shang the rest just look like regular joes in dumb outfits.
 
I'm trying not to judge them too hard, except when they really suck, like Sub-Zero. Let's look back at the first Movie. If you exclude all of the Ninjas, none of them looked exactly like their game counterparts. Johnny Cage was running around in pants and a blue shirt all the time, Liu Kang wore the tank top, Sony Blade had her military getup, but shortened the pants later, Kano looked nothing like the game except for the Faceplate, Kitana also wore something nothing like the games, and even the uber badass Shang Tsung didn't look like his game version.

That is because at the time the games had only gone up to UMK3. If they looked exactly like they did in the game, it would just have looked silly and ridiculous. I saw them as "this is what they would look like in the real world."
 
Exactly. The costumes in the first movie were awesome: real world, but still faithful where it was important to be. These are like a crappy mix between "real" and total cheese like Annihilation.

I mean, seriously, look at that Sub Zero. Nobody can seriously tell me that outfit isn't totally ridiculous. They had the right idea with Scorp and Sub's outfit in Season 1, so I have no idea why they'd make them so lame here.

I tend to wait to see a costume in action until I pass judgement. I HATED the TDK suit when we saw the first pictures. It looked crappy as all get out. It was much better in film. I also wasn't a fan of TSSM suit in still pics, but it also looked better in film. Lots of film costumes are like that.
 
I think all of those suits will look good once we see them in action. Except for Sub-Zero. What the bloody hell were they thinking?

A valid point and in some cases you're probably right. I'm betting Scorpion and the ladies will look pretty decent in motion.

But I doubt there's any saving that Sub Zero. Or Kenshi.
 
yeah, not really digging Sub-Zero's duds this time around. he looked way better in the first season. hopefully it will look a lot better in action.
