I have a suggestion for the artist's block problem. Have someone (or you could do it yourself) write a short scene from a movie. That gives you a place, a situation and an overall feel for what's going on. So, if its Superman, don't just put him in the classic in-flight pose. Put him in a situation where he's interacting with either his surroundings or other characters...or both. I don't know. It worked for me.

Yeah, that's an idea. I just know I need to get to work on something. I think I might take a crack at my Industrial Angel and pencil a few pages of sequential art, even if it doesn't make it into the final book.

Here's a Venom/Spidey piece, it's just a rough still as is the colour version. I'm not sure about Spidey he looks pretty blase by the whole thing, I'm not feeling the action in it.

Any constructive crit is always welcomed.

I loved this one... I like people trying to do more interesting and complex things that only superpeople at the Magnum pose...

Thanks...I'm not a huge fan of the Superhero comic anymore, especially the big three. You always end up with the same thing then they jump on the trends so they use the same types of artists all the time. A long time it was all McFarlane inspired then Anime...I like some diversity and the stories all end up the same.

I've been more inspired of late by more alternative stuff.

yeah I know...I think that's why I don't like it, there isn't enough action, it's like they sitting there going "Ummm...so do we really need to fight again?"

It needs some work, but I think the composition is solid enough.

This is a character back from my geek days (okay really from when I was a bigger geek then I am now.)

This is Zephyr, a character my friend created for a Heroes Unltd. Game world. This is a basically a superman type character, all powerful with few weaknesses. Little did my friend realize that the word Zephyr meant a slight breeze, needless to say there was much mocking involved with this character. So this is a bit of a characterization of him.

Did this at work today...it took maybe an hour, from sketch to colours, it's just a rough piece though and i don't think I'll do a final ever, but it was fun and alleviated some boredom today.

Thanks Sable. I like the way it turned, I just need to do something with Spidey, make him a little more active. Hopefully, at some point I'll get to do a final version.

Solomon Kane was a character created by Robert Howard (same guy who created Conan and Kull the Conqueror among others) He's a Puritan who travels the world hunting down evil, witches, demons and the like. He seems more powerful then normal men and his strength comes from god and his righteousness. It's a very interesting character...there have been talks about a movie for some time, I hope it comes to fruition

So Hellboy would be thrown back in time and meet up with Solomon Kane or vice versa.
