Naruto - Part 1

I remembered something about the 9 tails chakra being split in half but it's been so long. How is there one inside Minato?

When Tobi/Obito attacked the village all those years ago during the birth of Naruto. Minato stopped it by using the Reaper Death Seal to seal away its Yin chakra(inside himself) while putting the Yang in Naruto.

But wouldn't it just be released as soon as he died?

Man, I can't believe on how much that both the creator of the manga and of the anime show have been able to prolong this series. I feel like it's a never ending story at this point, especially with the anime, that constantly throws us fillers as a result of Kishi not finishing up this story.

I feel like, in the best case scenario, we won't see the end of the anime until potentially sometime in 2015.

It's almost over though, or in least in its final stages, the other major shonens seem to have more time though, Bleach is on its final arc too but it goes through a really slow pace, so it can go on for 5 or more years, One Piece has 10 years more ahead of it, it's only half way through and it's older than Naruto, so Japan has more years for OP to break even more records.

The other 2 major Shonen Jump battle mangas, Toriko and Hunter X Hunter don't seem to be ending in the near future either, but i doubt they'll go for as long as the big three. As for the other major shonen battle mangas not from jump but also weekly, Fairy Tail is half way through, unless it the creator decides to go on until One Piece ends, since it Basically is a watered down version of OP, while Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is probably not going to last much longer.

So yeah, Naruto is taking a while to end, but that's pretty much a staple for every modern battle shonen, more volumes is seen by many as more epic.

How long did Dragon Ball and DBZ go for in its total run? I can't imagine that DBZ, the manga and the series took more than 10 years.

I feel like Naruto has already lost the quality that it once had by prolonging the series. Smart people actually know when to end a good thing and not wait it out to the point where it becomes a medicore one.

Both Naruto and Bleach have gone on for too long. Looks like it's finally coming to an end for both of them though.

Despite Kubo saying he would keep going for the next 10 years it looks like Shueisha rang the bell earlier and said "You're ending it this year and at the latest early 2014".

Dragon Ball went on for around 11 years. I think the problem with Naruto though is that he didn't plan or divide the plot properly, which lead to Part II feeling both, rushed and too prolonged. There are many other problems i could talk about like the Uchihas suddenly becoming the main force behind the events and the writer not knowing how to write women and therefore not knowing what to do with Sakura, but you can easily find other people b***** on the internet about the series so you don't need to hear another one.

But this war itself has gone through an even bigger stupidity i thought was only possible in Fairy Tail (no offence to FT fans).

All Shounen manga sucks with the exception of Shougeki no Souma and Ansatsu Kyou****su right now anyway. Even Nisekoi and Shingeki no Kyojin have lost their freshness and are dragging now. Aku no Hana is alright I guess though, although that's been dragging ever since the time skip too.

EDIT: Wow did it really bleep that out lel

I really disagree with that statement, Hunter X Hunter and One Piece are great shonens that still keep their quality, are able to keep entertaining and after 10 years still have a strong writing and a lot of imagination.

I barely count HxH because it's on hiatus 8 years out of a decade and is really closer to Seinen in tone anyway. And nope, OP is the pits too tbh. Ever since the time skip. Time skips really kill everything it seems.

Well here's my issues with the series so far:

1. I really did enjoy on how they were progressing and putting some spotlight on Hinata's character. And just when I think they're about to do something significant between her and Naruto, they shift the focus back onto Sakura, and even have Minato give his seal of approval on that relationship as well. I think anyone with common sense that's followed the series would know that Sakura is like the biggest tool period when it comes to her treatment towards Naruto and anyone can tell that Hinata is better for him.

2. The whole idea of the Four deceased hokages coming back to fight in the war, along with Sasuke and Orochimaru supposedly turning over a new leaf is way too hard to believe and accept. I mean yeah, I'm glad that they aren't going to leave the souls of the four hokages to rot in hell for the rest of their lives, but in the same time, having them come back to fight in this war..Idk. Plus, we had how many chapters now trying to promote and lead us into thinking that Naruto and Sasuke were going to have one big final match that would decide the fate of the leaf village and now they're suddenly friendly again? I feel like they may even go one step further and try to recreate history by having Naruto and Sasuke have yet another fallout with each other due to their disagreement as to how the village should be led in order to mirror the fallout between the 1st Hokage and Madara. And that could take several more chapters to do.

Yeah, i don't think Naruto/ Sakura is good for any of them. Kishi seems to be in a rush to end the series, so i doubt they he will make Sasuke good again, and i allways found the general idea of the war arc weak, it should have been a real war about real problems, not Ninjas vs Plants and Zombies

I barely count HxH because it's on hiatus 8 years out of a decade and is really closer to Seinen in tone anyway. And nope, OP is the pits too tbh. Ever since the time skip. Time skips really kill everything it seems.

Fishman arc was boring but come on, Punk Hazard had good parts and things are picking up in the Dressrosa arc, and the future with DoFlamingo and the Yonko seems promising.

I would've been a great twist if the Hokages decided not to fight in the war.

Latest issue...Sasuke still with the same old insecurity issues. It's like Rasengan > Chidori all over again. "Naruto's attack is bigger than mine BAWWWWW". He must have a small penis.

I swear, every time I feel like we're getting closer to the end of this Shinobi war, they somehow manage to slip in another series of flashbacks that reveal an whole new subplot altogether.

I can't remember the last time that an anime prolonged an "event" as long as Naruto has with this war; strike that, with this battle.

We'll be lucky if we even get to this chapter in the anime by the time 2015 rolls around.

Extremely convenient.

His Susano'o is also different from what we saw when he killed the white Zetsus before he met Itachi. I wonder if this one is a form after that.
Which would be weird since it looks like his Susano'o from before he got Itachi's eyes, but now it has legs and is of the size of Kurama.

My brother reads Attack on Titan frequently.... He hates it. He really dislikes the fact that there are plot twists that take too long to figure out or never explained. And he sure as hell hates how it goes philosophical and makes the human-titan people look tragic (Seriously? NOW'S the time to feel "bad" about killing people?).

We don't quite know their reasoning yet so the tragicness (not a real word) of it might be warranted.

On the subject of Naruto..... Okay, it's obvious to everyone that it's doing stuff just because now.

So I've spent the last few months marathoning Naruto (cutting the filler out) and catching up with the Manga. Before Naruto, One Piece was the only Shonen series I followed. I never intended on picking up another large series but my friend convinced me as there was an end in sight. All up I think Naruto is a great series, I'm glad I picked it up. I still think One Piece is better, however I have enjoyed watching Naruto grow as a character, and his growth has been more heart warming than Luffy's on OP. I think what gets OP over the line is the humour though, I've been in tears before from laughing so hard at it's stupidity. Guess I'll sit back and enjoy Naruto as it starts to finish up on a week by week basis now :)

Yeah, while i find OP better, it seems like Luffy will never grow up. What i don't really like with Naruto is that with all the quick-thinking and evolution he shows in bits from part I and then how promising he looked in the begining of Part II, he constantly reverts to being kind of slow and a little ******ed, and it's also annoying that he never really learned any new technique besides transformations after Rasengan, all he does is make different shapes of Rasengan, and he never really matured, most was given to him or he already had it with genetics or the nine tails.

What i really enjoyed in Part I was how it was the story of a "loser" trying to prove himself and grow, and about how you can change your destiny as he showed in his fight with Neji, then the Child of Destiny concept was shown, with the old generic "chosen one" talk, and now it seems like genetics rule the story.

To be fair, he earned Kyuubi's power. He fought against Kurama and pulled its chakra away and, through his actions, convinced the fox to release its remaining power. He earned that. Not to mention Sennin Mode, which he mastered. None of that was given to him. He had to work hard for that.
His last talk with Tobi also shows the impact that Itachi's lessons, about needing the others, had on him. He became more mature, but in subtle ways.

In the opposite side, we have Sasuke getting different Susano'os at every modification in his eyes. It's like he doesn't even need training.
