Yeah that was obviously a direct shot at the thought of BB being a beetle but if your father was taking you to buy a car and you had a choice between a crappy looking Beetle and a crappy looking Camaro, which one would you take? On top of that it looks as if he meets Megan during the movie after he buys the car. Megan probably wouldnt give him a chance if he was driving a yellow Beetle. I just don't see the Beetle fitting into this particular story line.
Whole-heartedly agree with you there Nosebleed. It's just not the same with Bumblebee now a "big bad muscle car".
Too bad they didn't make Bumblebee a [comparatively] smaller fuel efficent car like a Saturn's ION or AURA or Honda's Accord or Civic [although none of those vehicles come in a yellow color] not as impressive as a sports car but it would certainly have allowed Bumblebee to remain a small but scrappy Autobot.
Hell, they could've made him a Dodge Neon, those come in yellow by the dozen. But that isn't BADASS enough. [sarcasm drenched]For robots who wanted to stay in disguise they sure picked some discrete vehicles[/sarcasm drenched]
Seriously ...This thread has some of the saddest and nerdiest complaints for a movie. Just...wow!

Seriously ...![]()

Not this bad. Generally people still find things they like, especially with the new franchise. Yall are over the top bad. Even die hard fans of Batman's source material don't throw tempre tantrums with different adaptations and interpretations of their characters.Pleaaase...as if Batman doesn't have even bigger nitpickers. Don't even give me that.![]()

You were expecting something 'deep' from a franchise based on action figure concepts from the '80's? Seriously, bro...
Bay has shown no respect? I highly doubt that. Just look at the main character. He kept that virtually the same in order to please you guys. And the character descriptions are all accurate in essence to how they were originally, so I don't want to hear all that.
But, this movie really isn't being made for you. You're already a fan, and will see it regardless of how negative you talk about it. This movie is being made to draw in a new generation of fans, and to inroduce the concept in a serious and cool manner to people who are new to the whole ordeal. Why can't you understand this?

You're so over-exxagerating b/c things didn't end up exactly how you envisioned them. Bro, you might be a nice guy ... but you're going nuts over this.
I guess its hard for you to understand that we wanted a movie that respected what Transformers had the potential to bring. But you are right, its made for the general audience and they will be happy with the story-lacking, non-character driven movie that Michael Bay will put out on 7.3.7. And you're also right that I will watch it...because I love Transformers. But it had potential to be fun AND smart sci fi...not just popcorn action.
I'm not choosing any sides and I can understand your aggravation with this movie but how do you know it will be "story-lacking" and "non-character" driven?
Sorry, but I just don't see the studio taking a chance to make an epic Transformers film. It would only appeal to hard core fans and maybe gain some new fans. It just wouldn't have the same mass appeal. Not many people want to watch a 2 and a half hour film about two robot alien life forms talking about their differences. People want to see action and lots of it, when they hear giant robots in a movie. Take what you can get. You don't have to like it or accept it, but you should.I guess its hard for you to understand that we wanted a movie that respected what Transformers had the potential to bring. Exactly. Most Bay apologist simply can't comprehend this. It's a parody, not a genuine Transformers movie. This movie... is actually a parody of those concepts. I think it's a shame.
Your definition of "epic" is strange. I don't think any TF fan wants a movie without action and a bunch of long-winded conversations about relationships.Sorry, but I just don't see the studio taking a chance to make an epic Transformers film. LOL, the last line was me being sarcastic. Don't take it too personally.![]()
And I'll melt my 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime.
quote THAT for truth.
