Wow 10 months is quite the pushback

They must be reshooting the movie. No way that they push a movie that's done, back 10 months because of comp. with Deadpool overseas. They could've easily put it in August

Best case scenario: they pushed it back because they want a superhero movie in February 2019 (the same window as Deadpool and close enough to Logan and Kingsman).

Worst case scenario: the haters are right and it is a generic bore. But even so, I'm not sure why push it back to September then and put it in the same window as It?

So I'll hope for the first. But my optimism for this just took a major hit.

Ok, this movie had a trailer long before a Deadpool trailer and a Dark Phoenix trailer, and now it will come way after them ... And yeah, reshoots it's the only reason I see for this.

This also completely kills whatever remote chances there were of a sequel. With a Feb 2019 release date there is no chance they will be able to get one done before the buyout goes through.

That tells me they know something about Han Solo and are expecting it to move (Simon Kinberg produces at both Fox and Lucasfilm... ), so they want to have a clean window through Memorial Day and Deadpool 2's original release date before the five-car pile up that is June. That is nothing but confidence for Deadpool 2.

And yeah, the more I think about it the more it seems like New Mutants is in trouble. I mean hey, Rogue One turned out great, but I'm too weary to try and find a silver lining here. Which is a shame, I wanted more "experimentation," and this likely will put an end to that in the genre for a long, long time.
