The cure can work. They have to get the story to mesh with the story and they're fine.
whatever the cure is (assuming there is one) he will obviously only get close to it.
maybe some with the with knowledge of the only cure dies thus banner stuck being the hulk forever.
thats the problem though, if he finds the cure, how will he be stuck with Hulk forever, it'll be him stuck with Hulk for a while, until he ges to that point again. This is assuming that the cure is pure science based, and not something ******ed like it came from outer space.whatever the cure is (assuming there is one) he will obviously only get close to it.

but i would love the idea of there being no cure at all yet bruce keeps searching
I like this idea Sava, I'm just wondering if the final choice will be as hard if in the balance there is:thats the problem though, if he finds the cure, how will he be stuck with Hulk forever, it'll be him stuck with Hulk for a while, until he ges to that point again. i'm all for Bruce looking for it, i hope it more a guess cure than a sure fire cure, like he doesnt know if it'll work or not.
which is what i'm afraid of, thats a BS story IMO, TIH needs to have nothing in it that would seem "been there, done that".I like this idea Sava, I'm just wondering if the final choice will be as hard if in the balance there is:
a possible cure that's not sure to be working VS saving thousand of lives...
on the other hand, if the cure is something tangible, well they could use the idea of a very rare ingredient, that if lost, will never be recovered...
it's a bit corny alright, but i wouldn't be surprised if that was the case..

Jeesh, that's a bit of a tall task, isn't it? I mean, if it was the 1970s, yeah, I'm sure they could come up with a completely original idea... but man, it's 2007. Are there any more original stories out there?
I'm not sure what I want. I like Trooper's idea - and yours too - that there's "no cure at all yet bruce keeps searching." I like TheAbomination's idea of a showdown between the Hulk and Thunderbolt, who would have the cure (but then you would have to explain how/why Thunderbolt gets the cure). And then I like antsiou's idea of "a possible cure that's not sure to be working VS saving thousand of lives," which is what my most conservative guess tells me TIH will be.
The only problem with the last idea above is it IS so very "been there, done that" that I think, surely they can come up with something better. And when I think of only that, I agree with Sava... I hope no cure is found. But then, it goes against my better judgment to simply have TIH play all of us for fools - to have all of us fans go to theaters and sit through 2 hours of a movie in which no cure is ever found. I think the producers realize this, and this is why I think a cure will be found. It just comes down to how they frame it for us. Will Banner find one and lose it? Will it be stolen from him? Will it fail? Will it work, but have a terrible side effect (gray hulk or something irreversible maybe)? Will Abomination destroy it?
In my mind, the cat's out of the bag. They wouldn't tease us with any prospects of a cure if they didn't intend for one to actually be found. We should just get used to it and hope they've got a kick-ass twist to it all. But in no case do I think Banner finds a cure, it works, and he lives happily ever after.
Good post...![]()
And this last sentence sums it all, he'll never use the cure... cause they're would be no more Hulk story to tell (or another re-boot in 3 yearst
... BUT this doesn't mean he'll never find one, he just won't be able to use it..
I think it's a given, and now, I'm hoping they'll give us good explanation/vision of what the cure is, how it works and how crucial it is to Banner to have the "right" cure, one that works..... and that he'll never be able to use for many reasons (sacrifice for heroic acts, Abomination destroys it, Ross, whatever...)
Thanks man. Appreciate the confidence booster.![]()
And you've got the idea, more so than I do probably. This sentence gets to the complexity of it all and, hopefully, how much of a story they have for us.
No problem saying when I agree with something, and especially when it's well done.. so go on you cocky f#cker(messing)
Anyway,
I don't know if i have "the idea" (i'm not Norton or "R.I.P." Penn) but that's what i gather and hope from the synopsis
Time will prove me right or wrong![]()
thats the problem, they can come up with a new story but it will be a huge risk, they could follow what happens in the comics but i dont think you want to see it, or most Hulk fans either. So they are stuck with "been there, done that" stories. I jut dont want people to go "so this is like Spidey 2 but only with a green guy insted of someone wearing red and blue".Jeesh, that's a bit of a tall task, isn't it? yeah, those guys didnt seem thier powers as a bad thing i guess, but they still had that moment where they went "i could be normal, i could have a normal life, be with the girl i want but people need me"... thats exactly what will happened when Bruce has to choose, this time, it'll be before he gives up his powers insted of after it like in the other movies.I don´t think a cure (or choice) story is necessarily a bad idea. Spidey wasn´t "cured" in Spidey 2, he had an involuntarily power loss and gave up on being Spidey. Supes wasn´t "cured" either, he never saw his powers as a bad thing, it was just necessary for him to be with lois. The Hulk situation isn´t quite the same as the X-Men cure, Hulk is not just a "power" Banner has, it´s a real menace and a manifestation of the darker and more aggressive side of his nature. It´s all about how it´s handled. The episode of the old TV show where Banner tries to use hypnosis to control Hulk is actually interesting - if a little corny.
Someone from IMBD said:was staying at residence over the last few weeks at University of Toronto, Canada and they were filming the Incredible Hulk, with Ed Norton and Liv Tyler here on campus. At night they filmed scenes with yellow painted ford police squad cars posed as NYC cabs. One scene also had a few cars overturned on the street and loud explosions filmed overnight.
that i likeI think that Banner will find a cure but it will be a one off.
Banner thinks the cure will work but it won't. He will take it after his battle with Abomination and thinks he is cured and can live a happy life with Betty. We are left to think that Bruce is cured and Hulk is gone for good. The screen turns black and then after like 5-10 seconds there will be a scene where we see Bruce's eyes turn green and then we see Hulk looking madder then ever. And the film ends with Hulk punching towards us watching the film.
That will show that Bruce's cure never worked and Bruce still has to search for one when we know there isn't one.
oh yeah, NYC is still there
NYC:...
Hulk/Abimantion action with cars and s**t![]()

with LL directing, thats a no brainer, all his movies had great action (but TT2 was too much)Yeah New York is here to stay but the action will be mind blowing!

I've only seen Unleashed and that had great action and a story. The character of Danny is similar to Hulk in a way.
Anyway, I am still not sold on the supposed "brick throwing" scene between Hulk and Abomination. Is it that one of the two "insane" scenes of action that had nothing to do with the script that LL made and could only be included in a Hulk film?
i have no idea, that scene sounds stupid to me, what are they, kids? stop with the brick throwing and knock him the f**k out.
Unleashed was great but could have been better IMO. Li was awesome in it.
yeah , it could look good i guessBut the bricks are not meant to be just the normal house brick. I think the bricks are the remains of the destruction that has been caused. When the bricks hit Hulk's chest they just get crushed to dust showing Hulk's strength. Hulk and Abomination both get some bricks and turn cars over to duck under. They keep on throwing bricks at each other down the street until both are out of bricks then I dunno what happens.
The people that told us about that scene were saying that the scene is unreal and will look brilliant if done correctly.
