I have a feeling they may become cannon fodder to deal with the violence restrictions within the show.
It's a shame a x-men cartoon hasn't really let loose in terms of violence, I always thought that was one of the main things that held evolution back even though it did manage some truelly fantastic character interactions (as long as they weren't interacting with storm, what a waste).
Well, the X-Men vs. Juggernaut fight in "STUFF OF HEROES" was pretty good. from Evolution. But I agree the fights scenes could have been better, considering what BATMAN BEYOND could get away with on the same network.
The problem is no network besides HBO would allow Wolverine to carve into flesh and render blood, at least to human characters who bled red.
I've just noticed that all the x-men that appear in the clip are all that are in the poster at the end.
Is curious how Colossus and Rogue aren't in the team posters and don't seem to fight with the team...
I'm not concerned about Rogue. She has historically gotten major exposure in X-Men cartoons, and been on the core cast of two of them.
Colossus...has nada. He's the perennial guest star or extended cameo. Because the guy isn't laden full of angst, and isn't a berserker rage guy, and isn't a womanizer or a *****e, writers have issues figuring out what to do with him. So he hits the background. Happens in the comics a lot, too. It stinks. Especially since he is visually very interesting and audiences, at least by my estimation, respond well to his feats of strength.
TheVileOne is of course convinced that because of a poster and a screen-cap, Colossus will suddenly show up 22 out of 26 episodes, but to me, it is on the show's end to buck history on this detail, or repeat it. The idea of Domino getting a major role in this show over Colossus is disgusting. The poor guy has been around since GIANT SIZE X-MEN #1 and he still gets half the respect that Nightcrawler or Storm get.
