Next Assassin's Creed Game Reportedly Set During The Viking Age

Oh the new update was really helpful, when I opened the game today, all the remaining zealots were now in the map so I got the Order ending which was pretty underwhelming. Like if you watch the teaser trailer, a person that appeared in it was really weak. There's also a new animation when you confirm kill a zealot (it doesn't happen to the contracts btw).

The two mysteries I have left is still broken. But I'm definitely going to do the rest, get the eXcalibur now I have all the pieces (I still haven't seen the cave where it is located), defeat the two daughters and maybe kill the legendary animal in Norway and finish the Jotunheim arc. A headpiece of those legendary animals are now displayed in your settlement (once you defeat them) which is pretty nice to look at. And a new skill tree is on the way and eXotic resources are in the inventory, its probably for the post launch content.

I finally reached the point in this game in which I have nothing else to do (that I want to do). I've cleared Norway, Vinland, Asgard and Jotunheim. While I still have three stacking up rocks and 3 mysteries left (two of those are still bugged) in England. Ive solved all the treasure maps as well though there is one left that is bugged and thats the case for all players.

I could do the fishing/hunting activities to get some rewards but thats just extra content that are not even location objectives and I really don't want to do moreof those timed missions in eXchange for opals. This is way shorter than Odyssey which is fine if it was enjoyable as that game, but it isn't. I'm still under 190 hours and I think I've spent over 300 hours in Odyssey.

The Yule festival is a nice free content though its going to be gone in a few days and Eivor is always drunk when I open the game or when I fast travel due to this free content.

Whats also weird is accordingto a developer there's a mission after you beat thosesiX warriors scattered in Norway/England. But he didn't know that mission doesn't show up until he interacted with a player on Twitter. Thats just ridiculous. The amount of bugged things in this game is ridiculous and some can't even progress in the main story due to errors.

I hope Ubisoft adds more free content that aren't just cosmetics. The pre order mission still doesn't show upin my quest list. I have no plan buying the dlcs so I would probably wait a long time to get my neXt AC fiX.

Okay I finally completed all the stacking up rocks + that 1 mystery that I only needed to parry (I kept dodging before).

So its just those 2 bugged mysteries left.

Ubisoft Lists Issues Being Fixed With Incoming AC Valhalla Patch

One of my broken 2 mysteries, Odor Demon is listed here and I kinda feel lucky that my bugs aren't so severe compare to the others. Its incredibly amazing (in a bad way) how glitched this game is. I also hope the glitched treasure and inactivated mission (both of these dont show up to anyone) are fiXed as well.

And I wish Ubisoft would bring back the replay option without starting from scratch.

So I only recently got into the AC series. Started with Origins, which I loved and beat. Now I’m about halfway into Odyssey, which is even better even though I liked Bayek as a protagonist more than Alexios or Kassandra. How does Valhalla compare to those two? I may get it after I finish Odyssey but I’m a little burned out on Norse mythology after playing Vikings: Wolves of Midgard and God of War. Is it worth it?

It is the worst out of the three but it is worth it. The conclusion of the present day segment is quite a twist.

Just eXpect lots of glitches and if you're feeling burned outright now, then save it for another time. Valhalla has 5 maps and there's more empty spaces in the game.

Good that there is something of a payoff in the modern day stuff. Layla is a good character but whenever it switches to all of that, it’s pretty dull.

If I remember correctly, you will switch back to Layla in the present day maybe only twice. Unless you decide to eject yourself out of the animus. Though there are areas in England that you will control Layla, its a platforming puzzle which I enjoyed.

Just be cautious, the game has so many glitches that some can't finish the main story. For me, two side quests are broken. And some features are still unavailable to all players because they're bugged.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, Odyssey has glitched out on me a couple of times but fortunately I didn’t lose anything. Still annoying though.

Odyssey only crashed on me once iirc and I put more than 300 hours into that game! That game runs so well. While valhalla crashed on me at least 12 times.

Geez! That’s a lot. I’ve never had a game crash on me that much. Worst thing I’ve run into was a cave in Skyrim where any attempt at exploring it would crash the game.

I got the game during its launch week and it crashed whether I was playing it non stop or just 30 minutes into the game.

Also
AC Valhalla crashes every 15-30 minutes.

So thats just not me. Ubisoft have released updates to solve these issues and if you look at their updates list, they listed so many things they have fiXed. However there are still issues with the game. Avenging a player doesn't show up (not sure if thats available now), a treasure that doesn't show up (its a treasure map quest, doesn't show up to all players) and a quest once you killed 6 super strong people still doesn't show up to all players.

The game is incredibly bugged. I was lucky i didn't face an issue in which the majn story doesn't progress, because there's one youtuber who covers Ac Valhalla in his channel andhas a connection with Ubisoft but even him couldn't progress in the main game.

In comparison to Watch Dogs Legion, it only crashed multiple times when going to the main menu, but wasn't as severe as Valhalla.

Yeah thats why I'm hoping there won't be a new Assassin's Creed this year. I want Ac to be an annual thing but if its going to crash again and again, then I'd rather wait 2 years.

This probably had something to do with their employees possibly working at home. And given how upcoming Ubisoft games are all delayed now + Watch Dogs Online. They are probably facing a lot of difficulties polishing their games in their current working setup.

I lost count on how many times my copy has crashed. It's seriously out of control.
I platinumed the game. It crashed on me at least 70 times. It was insane.

A bit more dev time per title is probably best.
Nah, I don't think that is the issue. They need to stop putting so much BS in these imo. There are way too many nothing side missions and stuff that take time to not only develop, but bug test. And that is what causes a lot of the issues. Cut the amount of side quests and collectibles in the last two games, and they'd still be massive. But they'd also be a lot easier to bug test and perfect.

Even though I like that I spent 190 hours in the game, meaning I spent my 58 dollars to a game that I didn't finish in a week or two. I'm ready for a smaller game (Syndicate / Unity). And what I also liked about those games is I can replay the sidequests and main missions without starting from scratch. These last three game don't have that.

Plus In Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla - a lot of the locations felt like a work checklist. Like I was always in a hurry because I have to go to 30 more locations and I can't really appreciate the world that because there's so much stuff to be done and there's also so many places that you will only go there once to get something. And I'm ready to take a break from avoiding, killing and hunting animals in Ac.

I installed the new update. I can't believe Ubisoft finally fiXed the 2 bugged mysteries as I kept checking those for months. So I finally got the Completionist trophy now plus that Ragnar dagger (from a side quest after beating 6 bosses). I got those three done in like five minutes. That is so weird to me. The new feature, River Raids are just the same raids but outside of the main map. I'm going to continue that sometime.

I am playing this again for the River Raids, Ostara Festival and to redeem the free stuff.

But damn... the game crashed on me when finding those eggs, it happened twice so I have to auto save manually not to repeat finding all the eggs because I already lost them twice. There were also two crashes related to the new update. Then the River Raids, I was stuck in 1 house and couldn't get out so I have restart and lost my progress in river raids as apparently it only auto saves when you go back to the hq. Then almost everytime I go back to the hq, I have to restart the game because the quests don't show up and you can't even interact with the people there. And the loading of this game is so long!

Damn, I just can't believe how Ubisoft have done so many patches for this then only to bring in new bugs everytime they add dlcs. And when I uninstall and reinstall this one day, I fear the size of the patch would be so big by then like 50 gb or more.
