for me he is the most boring character in the whole trilogy...I hope he gets some good development but honesty I hope he actually stays in the background for other characters to shine! JEAN, CYCLOPS, STORM AND NIGHTCRAWLER TO THE FOReFRONT!

Waiting to Mad Max to avoid the crowds. I doubt this will happen with the character but giving a bit of Dark Beast story arc couldn't hurt. He's more of a lackey lately.

My friend pointed out to me that Nick is sporting a different haircut & color recently. It looks similar to Oscar's (and Ben). Could it be that Beast will be a horseman in the film? I mean granted that we don't really know who'll be a horseman apart from Angel, what do you guys think if he'll be one?

haha! good one. I'm not well-versed in the comics. My knowledge on X-men comes from the animated series (I have a hazy memory of it though ) and the movies. lol Googling tells me he did not become a horseman but he got affected by Pestilence which enhanced his super strength but decreased his intelligence. hmm... I think it'd be interesting to see him as one.

I have to thank my friend for that. I didn't notice it when I first saw the pics.

I don't think he is a horseman, but there is precedence. Dark Beast in the comics aided Apocalypse. We saw a version of that in the game X-Men: Legends II.

How much furry Beast do you guys suppose we'll see in this? My guess is somewhere around 5-7%. I really dig the X-Men movies and what Singer did with them, but the fact that Mystique and Beast are running around looking normal is really aggravating and contrary to the point of the X-Men.

i personally don't care if they walk around the film looking normal for half to most the film because there is enough characters and things going on that i can't see why it will stand out or even be a problem so don't see why anyone should get upright if singer wants to develop mystique and hank the way he is doing it

Beast started out for a good while in the comics as hank anyway so its not like he was always beast and that normal looking hank was never a thing

they will probably appear in their blue forms every so often and then fully in the final battle and then they probably resolve the looking normal stuff since hank and raven was obviously part of the FC arc that this is mean't to resolve in this move aswell as elements from the OT apparently

I know Hank started out with a human form, but he's Beast now and from what I gather in this new timeline mutants are a little more accepted. Hank's probably still insecure, fine, but Mystique stomping around the X-Mansion in human form is the one that makes the least sense. What happened to all that Mutant and Proud stuff?

they obviously want to split her into raven (normal looking) and mystique (blue) like what FC did and what Magneto made a point of saying in DOFP with "are you charles raven or are you mystique"

Yeah. It could be all very different in the movie. Otherwise the message now will go from "Mutant and Proud" to "Don't be too different in front of others".

Actually, this just came to my head... but I think Brett Ratner did so much better job with handling Beast.... this is Singer's third film (2nd as a director) with Beast and eh. The lack of Beast's mutant form for this third film is not very encouraging.

Ratner's handling of Beast was, perhaps, the absolute best part of X3. I want more of that kinda Beast in these films.

i think what singer wants and what the fans want is probably totally different, singer wants to develop the characters so you feel by the end they have evolved and resolved themselves in a trilogy but fans basically just want the characters to be the characters, screw development, just be the characters and do character stuff, go out and fight bad guys, throw in some comic references and thats it

I don't think Singer intends on showing us the jolly Beast that Grammar portrayed with Hoult. Not that there is really an issue since this is a prequel techncially but I hope down the line, Hoult will bring in some of that jollyness that Kelsey brought. He won't live up to Kelsey, but hopefully he'll be more...lively.
