If I may use a wrestling term I see Carol being pumped up just to get Jobbed to Thanos early in the movie building on Thanos Mystic for his eventual downfall in the hands of the original team

Okay...I also have a bit more speculation...when Thanos is talking to Gamora about balance, he says, "Just a little bit too much to one side..."
What if Ant-man was out of reach of the snap in the Quantum Realm, and him making it back means the universe is still out of balance...and the second "snap" was Thanos trying to balance everything again...unable to do so because Scott was in the QR?

Sorry, I'm just betting heavily on the QR being the deciding factor. It's probably Deadpool's chimichangas actually alluring Death over to his side, making Thanos jealous, causing him to get into a taco-eating competition with him. The sauce and cheese get in the groves of the gauntlet, and he is forced to either lose because the joints of the gauntlet are gummed up, or remove the gauntlet and win the taco eating competition.
Deadpool looks at him and says, "In time you will learn to lose"...

Thanos chucks the gauntlet off his hand and starts double-shoving tacos into his gullet, only for Ant-Man to expand and put on the gauntlet, bringing everyone back, and sending Thanos back to his "retirement planet" with nothing but a belly full of tacos...that were made with expired sour cream. As he contemplates the balance of everything, he realizes that Deadpool had Ant-man snap away his toilet paper...leaving him on the toilet...forever.

I've had no sleep. Sorry guys.

I have a feeling
Thanos might kill Carol in that early fight, then time passes, Antman returns and they come up with a new plan. Bumping her off early after all the build up would be a holy sh*t moment I could see them going for.

I'm so tempted to watch clips but no. Even if it doesn't spoil anything much, I prefer to just stick with trailers. No clips or tv spots

The official youtube upload of the clip:

I'll put it under spoiler tags for those that aren't keen on video thumbnails either:

Hmmmm. Isn't Steve wearing the same shirt he wears in the support group scene?

Looks like they're setting up they are all (understandably) wrecks.
I bet Thor was non-verbal until he spoke about Carol- I bet that's the gotcha moment in that scene.

I really liked the clip. Solid stuff from everyone.
Having said that i think the way they are portraying Captain Marvel deserves an observation... I think they are threading a fine line between her being cocky, as her character is suppose to be, and going too much into the "full-of-it" territory.

And in context the way Thor approaches her makes so much more sense now. She's acting like she's the last cookie in the jar, boasting and saying that she has done this and that... Like Rhodey said, everyone there is in that "superhero life"... CM speaks like she is the only one taking care of business in the universe and that is just not the case, hence Thor standing up and facing her trying to ascertain her bold claims. She doesn't move and with a look acknowledges him and he likes that type of character.

As someone mentioned i could see CM learning somewhat of a lesson against Thanos.

Lmao Carol is so cocky. I'm sure at one point in the movie Thanos is gonna kick her ass pretty bad :funny:
The way they are playing it... yeh it does seem like she might get a surprise.

I think Carol is going to get trampled.

It would make sense as even Thor and Hulk had their asses handed to them to kick off IW. This is a threat above all of them, but not above all of them together.

How amazing is it that half the actors in this movie (dusted) haven't even been shown in the trailers? We know they'll come back some way, but it's still very interesting.
