The main theme of Endgame that you here in the track portals ,arrival and a little bit of the end credits has become to me the theme of the MCU.

also I watched Cap TFA again yesterday and there are so many musical cues Silvestri has brought into his Avengers scores from that movie.

Yup. Talked about how well he used musical cues in this movie in the spoiler thread. Incredible work, and really helps solidify this movie as the conclusion.

God how I wish Silvestri scored Ultron...if they ever special edition it I wouldn't mind a if Silvestri re scored it. but that is pipe dream central.

Silvestri knocks the big moments out of the park with the usage of the Avengers themes. This is just a personal opinion, though, but I sometimes feel that during battle scenes in general his musical style is a little too whimsical for my tastes and not intense enough.

His style is pretty whimsical but compare his stuff to the tyler/elfman frankestein score in Ultron.

Which I don't absolutely hate btw it has its moments but it sticks out like a sore thumb in retrospect to me. Whatever it isn't a big deal. I still love that movie.

So, any controversy from the crowd who are pissed about

Sam Wilson being given the shield.

Ohhhh but he's Black and he can't be Captain.

same as those pissed about Captain Marvel or the all-female group action shot. I'm real happy Marvel is doubling-down on diversity. It's really great to see such idiots gripe about it

I'm not a fan of it, but not because "oh noes, diversity!"
1. Sam is too breezy of a dude, and hasn't been developed into a very dimensional character who can carry a film as the dramatic lead... I also don't know if Mackie has the chops to carry it, but we'll see on that... Call it the Jack Sparrow syndrome, not every character makes for a good lead, even if they're charming AF
2. Falcon doesn't need a "promotion", he's not a sidekick, he doesn't need to become Captain America to be considered legitimate, nor does he need redemption
3. As I said a few pages back, not a big fan of Legacy characters in general, leave that to DC. I don't care about Captain America, I care about Steve Rogers.
4. The comics ruined the idea... between how soon after Bucky-Cap it happened, and then the whole Falcon Cap series being way too on-the-nose with its message (the whole series was pretty much just villains saying "Ohhhh but he's black and he can't be Captain.'), it just wasn't a very good run, imo... The MCU tends to improve on things that sucked in the comics, so hopefully that happens here as well

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either... They should've just retired the moniker; and if they wanted someone to take on the mantle, there are more dramatically rich choices they could have made, but it is what it is

Saw it again today and wow there is a bit of clarity you get with a rewatch.

Peppers helmet was what Morgan was playing with at the beginning so it seems Tony had always had something for Pepper saved for a just in case “Rescue” being needed.

Natasha finally paid back her debt to Clint and erased the red in her ledger.

Bucky hugs and tells Steve he is gonna miss him before Steve leaves. Banner notes Steve has blown past his time mark. Bucky knowingly calls Sam over when old cap is at the bench. Then when Cap offers the sheild to Sam he looks at Bucky who gives him a knowing nod of acceptance. So the idea that Steve just ditched Bucky is a null.

At the beginning Steve is telling people life goes on. He tells Nat that they need to get a life when they both agree that Avengers was all they had, she replies “you first”. Steve tells Sam he decided to take Tony’s advice, from the scene at starks cabin, and “try out that life thing”. He deserves it.

I think it’s implied

for him to take the mantle forward and I didn’t like the idea at all. Again Bucky’s and Rogers friendship has been a colossal part of the Cap trilogy and they shafted it aside for no good reason. It was very poorly wrapped up and all of a sudden bucky and cap get less than 2 seconds of dialog despite being the focus of nearly 3 films. They didn’t even get a moment on the battlefield. It makes no sense at all. Bucky should have been the next one unless they have a different route for him

Falcon has his own unique skill set and powers. WS has a lot more in common in terms of fighting style than Cap; additionally it would give a nice arc for Bucky to redeem himself. To me the Russos’ intent was to be subversive and it was stupid

That major stupid thing aside, I absolutely loved the film. It was sheer genuine joy!

Y'all know I am not a fan of legacy characters. But that said, I will see what they do with Falcon Cap. It's not my favorite idea either, but I am not going to get bent out of shape about it. I'll give it a shot.

Plus, since Steve is not dead, could always bring him back if Evans ever changes his mind with timey-whimey shenanigans :o

can you honestly give it to Bucky though? He has a murderous past and were not sure he's %100 cured of mind control.

After having watched this three times, as far as I'm concerned
Bucky knew what Cap was going to do in regards to staying behind to live a life with Peggy. When they are talking before he leaves, I feel like you can just see it in Bucky's face like he knows. I need to see it again to remember the specific moment and line that seemingly gave it away for me.

He literally says I’m going to miss you. He then calls Sam specifically over and nods in acceptance to him getting it. He knew, it’s not even a question.

That was the line I was forgetting.
"I'm going to miss you."

Thanks, I couldn't quite remember.

Right there with you, man.
My problem with Falcon Cap was that it never really worked from a comic standpoint. Bucky as Cap is problematic because, well, he could be compromised by a Hydra notebook, potentially. I'll give Sam a chance, and if it is awesome, it's awesome. If not, then I move on. Simple as that.
As for the people hating the girls shot, it was a TAD forced, but it worked, and they did proceed to kick butt after that, so it's all good. It's not like they had that group go out and end Thanos, so who cares?! Iron Man was the only one who deserved to save the world on that one, since he's been haunted by not being able to save everyone since Ultron. Now, he can rest...just like Pepper said.
