Sorry if this has been brought up, but in the official clip with Captain Marvel and the gang, did anyone hear those whispers in the background right as Thor is approaching Carol? Listen with headphones. At :49-:50, I swear someone whispers"I have telepathy." Which is just weird since that ain't one of Carol's powers, and that would be an odd thing to think at someone anyway, lol.
And no, in case someone's wondering, this isn't a "Venom in the eye" joke.![]()
It's always better when other people can hear the creepy voices too.![]()
I heard it too, it was definitely a ladies voice as well. Maybe the Russo's are just messing with people
It might be a mistake, maybe something else was playing in the background. It doesn't make any sense for that to be in the scene. It's always better when other people can hear the creepy voices too.![]()

It wouldn't be the first time. Listen closely after Groot speaks. What is that? lolIt might be a mistake, maybe something else was playing in the background. It doesn't make any sense for that to be in the scene.
As bad as the Fox X-Men run was I think it's definitely a case of everything happens for a reason.
Boo-urns to you, good sir.Three of the four Singer flicks & Logan are better movies than the lion's share of the MCU (I'll fight you
), and the Vaughn one's on-par with most of the good ones. The Wolverine's awesome too until Bayformers Samurai Guy shows up. It's pretty much just 3 & where Rothman went all strong-am-grand-poobah like Wolverine Origins that blow.
But yeah, if they'd had Spidey & X-Men from the start it would have taken them longer to get around to Iron Man & Cap and the other in-universe big guns. I have no doubt they'd have made those movies eventually though, with Kevin helming the studio, he knows how important those guys are to the material. But yeah, seems like history panned out for the best in general, I wouldn't want a world where the Singer-verse X-Men didn't happen before the MCU (and let's be honest, Kevin wouldn't have got the chance to start this crazy Marvel universe journey if they hadn't) or a world without the two awesome Raimi flicks, and going the way it went allowed them to jump into Iron Man/Thor/Cap right away which no other studio seemed to want to touch anyway.
Why is it that everyone is now saying the entire era of Fox Xmen movies was total utter crap now? Im seeing that sentiment so often now as if there werent several gems that we as fans all collectively loved and still love from them.
Don't forget that Deadpool movies are also part of Fox's X-Universe.
Currently watching the first Iron Man, and my god it still holds up so damn well

I don't agree on Singer vs MCU. X1 is an ugly film IMO and doesn't work for me all that much. X-Men Apocalypse is sort of a mess. X2 is a good movie, but I don't put it up with CBM elites mostly because it is still Wolverine and Friends. Now, DoFP is my jam. That one was excellent. But still, that is 3 out of 4 movies that I would prefer the lion's share of MCU movies against.
But that is just me. I am not really looking to make this an X-Men discussion thread. Just leaving my 2 cents and stopping.

I agree some of the X films havent particularly aged gracefully but when they hit they hit HIGH. Man, I remember in 2011 we were all writing First Class off and was sure it was going to be a spectacular failure and we all walked out going “holy crap, how did Vaughn do that?” First Class and DOFP are a perfect one-two punch in my opinion and some of the best the genre has to offer. The Wolverine was GREAT until the studio stepped in the third act and told Mangold “its ok, we’ll take it from here, we need some cgi in this boring drama you’re making.” And then Logan is just excellent cinema.
Point is, when the X films were good they werent just good they were GREAT.
