Bane is a successful villain. He comes into Gotham with a plan executes it and stops anyone who tries to stop him. He's tactical and smart he knows who to apply pressure to and who to get rid of however he has a short fuse and when Batman begins to gain the upper hand Bane resorts to drastic measures.
The device, whatever it is, GOES OFF at some point and destroys a massive part of Gotham State and cripples the entire city. Law enforcement is useless against it and in fear of another attack in other major cities or in Gotham again people are quiet about trying to stop Bane head on. This leads to a depressive state in Gotham where fear of the machine and Bane's use of it keeps Gotham in line.
Gotham becomes what it was pre-BB and Catwoman is somewhat of a mirror of Joe Chill. Desperate, she resorts to crime to get what she wants and in a critical moment she has to decide whether to let her desperation get to her like Chill or to use her desperation for something else. we know what she chooses...or do we?
Tate is Talia.
John Blake is a rookie cop but with a deep affiliation with Gotham, someone struggling to make a difference after the death of Harvey Dent spurs Gotham into trying to do well for itself; this means hunting Batman but Gordon serves as a psuedo-anchor for Blake but when he's taken out of the picture Blake is thrown into a situation where he has to make choices on his own and decide how and when to fight against Bane and what it means to be a Gothamite
Gordon is a major player in this film. Akin to what Palpatine's part in ROTS was compared to the other films

Some good info there Rag, albeit to be taken with a grain of salt. I'm glad to see that Blake looks as though he may be getting a quite substantial part, and glad to Gordon is getting more weight and presence to the overall picture too.

God, I hope not. I don't mind the backstory but I don't see how a young Ra's and a kid Talia on iMAX can be a "mind-blowing" prologue. I don't care if they're surrounded by explosions or what not. I still don't think I'll like it.
I like the idea before of the prologue being a Catwoman/Batman rooftop chase scene intercut with Bane breaking out of prison. I highly doubt it though. I don't think we'll even get a rooftop chase scene.
Yeah. Starting to think the prologue will involve a young ra's,young bane, abd maybe little talia. It'd appear to make the most sense at this point. I'd love to see bane without the other two, but I've pretty much come to terms that this is what it will entail.
Edit: the montage idea of a parallel between bane/ batman would be unreal rags. I'd love that.
Lets just say for example the prologue plays out like TDK and turns out to be the opening of the film, and does focus on Bane/Ra's/Tatelia and the LoS. If it's as amazing as Wally says it's going to be, then I don't think the G.A. may really care either way if it has Batman/Catwoman/etc. or not.
The prologue is mind blowing because it takes place during a scene we've already seen with Bruce and Ras in Begins. Ras is training Bruce, then he steps into another room and Bane is there.(We see this in the teaser. That shot of Bane's face. He's kneeling before Ras).
Ras talks to Bane about there real plan, and how they are decieving Bruce. This is the scene Liam shot when he was filming TDKR.
I remember that the majority of us predicted the teaser to be about Bane and it turned out to be very focused on Batman (and Gordon). They (WB, Nolan) seem to be making a point of stressing that this movie will be about ending Bruce Wayne's story so it won't surprise me if the prologue turns out to be about Batman.
I think it's safe to say though that it'll be either about Batman or Bane. I will be very, very surprised if it was about Catwoman.
