The Dark Knight Rises OFFICIAL: Batman in New York - Part 5

I struggled to hold it together in TDK. God knows what will happen to me when the screen cuts to black and the title appears in Rises if the film is as good.

When I first see Anne Hathaway on screen, I will cry, I'm a Batman fan, but what Catwoman represents to my whole life, since my child-hood is beyond anything else I'm a "fan" of. And if I cried to the epic-ness of the ending of TDK, I'm sure I will weep 'till the credits stop rolling. I don't care what anybody says, this is so important to me.

I'll either be giving a teary eyed standing ovation or staring blankly at the screen in disbelief.

We're gonna need a support group afterwards. :hehe:

This song will be playing once I'm done watching TDKR along with a river of tears.

This thread has went from a debate of proper villains for a Batman film to a competition of how sad someone will get after they see the film.

How will we ever go on? :csad:

I still remember skipping class to go see Batman Begins for a third time around 10:35 in the morning.

Nevah Forget...

I'm as big a Batfan as the next guy on here, but did people actually cry at the end of TDK? Like tears running down their cheeks?

I think most people here are indulging in hyperbole including me when referring to "crying". It's not meant to be taken literally.

At least in my case.

I did the same school skipping for BB back in 2005 as well.

The moral of the story kids, is Batman first education second.

I snuck out my house and rode 6 miles on my bike to catch opening night... came back home to cops taking down notes from a very worried/furious mother. :o

I flew to another country to watch "The Dark Knight" in IMAX in '08 !

Thanks it was totally worth it though :) My country only shows Documentary movies in IMAX...So I took a 6 hour flight to see that 70mm of epicness.

I've heard some crazy stuff from diehard fans over the years but this might take the cake. Lucky the movie was good!

I understand completely. Quite a few of us drove several hours and some even flew to make the filming in Pittsburgh for TDKR. It was so worth it though!

I think I might have seen TDK about 7-10 times in the first day.

Midnight showing

4 a.m. IMAX showing

10 a.m.

1:15 p.m.

4:30 p.m.

Then i know i saw it a bunch a times that night too. That entire month was TDK owned

I saw it the 10am opening session on the Wednesday when it got released down here. Called in sick that day, the great irony being I did get sick about 2 hours before hand after I ate some dodgy food for breakfast. Almost had to skip the movie but nothing was going to stop me that day! lol
