I saw it the 10am opening session on the Wednesday when it got released down here. Called in sick that day, the great irony being I did get sick about 2 hours before hand after I ate some dodgy food for breakfast. Almost had to skip the movie but nothing was going to stop me that day! lol

Bat Trooper!

Why bother paying a large amount for viral marketing that hits a small section of the potential audience when they can get ninjas and spy photos to do the work for them?

I'm not saying I like it, but I can see the logic.

I agree that is one way to look at it. (Which I'm guessing is the way WB exec's looked at it.)

However, I really feel TDK's hype, a good portion of it came from the viral campaign. Myself personally saw the movie 5x, and each time I picked up a little bit more of the story that was intertwined with the viral campaign. I'm not going to be so ignorant and say that I'll only see TDKR once, but I won't be surprised if it's not 5x. I felt it really added an extra level of depth to the movie. I could be wrong but I think for a first try at a viral campaign of that size...a second time around you'd see easily double or triple the people..I alone had about 4-5 more people wanting in this time around, and I can only see it of gotten bigger and bigger with more people participating.

Anyways back on topic -

With shooting done, I guess that means C.Nolan is in the editing office for the next couple of months?

I flew to another country to watch "The Dark Knight" in IMAX in '08 !

WOW! I would have to travel only an hour and a half or so to go to an IMAX but I just can't afford the gas right now. I drive a gas guzzler unfortunately.

I agree. After catching up on the viral marketing material in the last couple of weeks, I rewatched TDK and enjoyed it even more.

Wonder if theatres will be showing bb tdk tdkr back to back on opening day. I know they did that for lotr

Really looking forward to a showing of all 3 movies back to back. Hopefully they do it Toronto

Thanks it was totally worth it though :) My country only shows Documentary movies in IMAX...So I took a 6 hour flight to see that 70mm of epicness.

I thought seeing Begins 21 times in theaters and TDK 36 times was dedication on my part.

But you sir, have humbled me. You just became my hero for today.

If we don't get anything this week, we might have to wait until next, next week. With the Thanksgiving holidays and all... :o

Thanksgiving would be giving us a picture of Catwoman and Batman eating Turkey

I want Bane breaking a turkey's back.

"I WILL BREAK YOU....then cook you at 300 degrees for ever hour equivalent to your weight in pounds."

Back to the competition thread... I lost my job in order to see the prologue during the viral games.

Yeah, perhaps we can be reassured with a smiley or something? I was certain there was going to be a punchline (!) at the end, but the story just moved on.

Awwwwwkwaaaard.
