Dude, that Deadpool series looks straight-up ****ing awesome! A lot of people **** on Way, not that it's completely undeserved, but some of his stuff is pretty cool. He was even on Agent X, which is pretty much the same personality as DP anyway, for a couple issues and I must admit that I was pretty surprised by the job he did. It wasn't bad at all.

Plus it'll be good to get a new writer with a new direction on DP again. I was with C&DP from the beginning almost until the end. There came a point when the art began to really start to become second rate and I will blame the colorist more than anything because it gradually degraded over time from the beginning.

But also, and this is my main point, the writing just seemed to lose direction after the whole SS battle and Cable got lobotomized and then came back and it just seemed like Nicieza planned so 25 issues or so in and then had no idea what to do next.

Then Cable became a part of New X-Men and then he got his own book and... well... it was time for C&DP to get the axe at that point. At least IMO.

But now there is a chance for Deadpool to have a brand new fresh start with a fresh creative team and hopefully they don't change the artist and colorist to a second rate BS team after the first 6-12 issues like they do on so many other titles.

Only problem? Daniel Way is anything but "fresh" or "good".

Holy crap, Swierczynski's bringing X-Force into Cable's title. Oh, the irony.

And I guess this explains how Bishop's losing his arm.

I don't think I've ever seen a positive review from anyone on here who has read any book of his. In fact, I believe when Deadpool's solo was announced, people were excited until they saw that he was writing it. He has a negative following and good reason behind it.

Bullseye's Greatest Hits, Punisher vs. Bullseye, Agent X #12, and Ghost Rider were all pretty good.

Plenty of people on here have said that his Bullseye stuff and GR stuff were good. Go ahead to the GR threads.

I know a lot of his stuff blows, I'm not his biggest fan by any means. But if you haven't read a good review from anyone on here, that's an error on your part.

My point: I'm going to actually read his DP before I decide if it sucks or not.

When I said that all I've seen about his work has been negative, I was referring the majority of that to his Origins and GR work, so yes, I have been in those threads. How is it my fault if pretty much all I've read of opinions on him are negative.

If you want to give it a shot, fine. I'm not saying you shouldn't. But to call Way a "fresh, new" writer is something that is rather far from accurate.

Okay...

I meant fresh as in, there is a new (not Fabien Nicieza with 2nd rate art) creative team writing the character...

...not fresh as in, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

*I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said 'Fresh' and it had dice in the mirror...*

Bishop rocks

FINALLY picked up issues four and five of Cable. Whilst I doubted Duane's ability at handling Cable, I've enjoyed his run so far. Especially loved the use of the Blackbird. I'll be staying with Cable, as his work with the Iron Fist was pretty impressive, too.

Deadpool on the other hand, is a definite...download.

Duane hit Cable squarely, firmly, and properly on the head.

Deadpool is coming back next month?
that's great. so looking forward to it.

Heh, I go on a lot...but just don't expect too much from Way, of all people :p
