Official Halo Thread

Taking a break from Skyrim and putting in the Anniversary. Pumped to play good ol' Halo: CE again. :)

got the first level done.... & bro nicked the disk LOL....

Capture the Flag on Headlong = :hrt:.

Hey guys if you played Reach & since multiplayer uses the Reach engine. Does your previous Reach character & stats cross over etc ?
I loaded the game last night, but honestly I just clicked on the MP and I did notice that my rank carried over. Although, I didn't get to play an online match, so I can't say with 100% certainty that the actual stats carried over. Although I assume that they would, though.

Still waiting for this to arrive from Amazon. Looking forward to replaying it in HD with my brother.

Even looking forward to getting lost and arguing with him when we play through the library.

I bought the Anniversary map pack and played a little... the community still sucks ass but the few games I played were fun. The magnum... so good. :awesome:

I've never played any game online that had a good community. I'm never in anything other than party chat though.

The classic map pack is great. I probably won't even put my Reach disk in from this point on because I refuse to play another stupid Forge map.

True, every online game does have its fair share of a**holes. I just mention it whenever I talk about playing Reach because there are so many people who quit and losers who idle trying to boost for credits. :o

I am so sick and tired of getting 15+ kills in a matchmade game, and my team still loses.

Seriously, people. If you don't want to play, quit. I'd rather take my chances being down one person than have you just stand there like a ****tard and giving the enemy team free kills.

Oh, and if you can't get more than two kills, go play Super Mario. All you have to do is run to the right and jump. Minimal brain activity required. It's right up your alley.

Enjoying Anniversary so far.... but is there any reason why the split screen is only 2 players max? I remember the original HALO game having up to 4 players... huge bumper because I have Xbox parties at my place often o.O

 That's another reason I stopped playing Halo 3. I would always get matched with a team that sucks. I could never get to lvl 50 since I was on the losing team 9 times out of 10 even though I was either MVP or in the top 3. Thankfully I don't mind as much here because rank isn't based on winning.

Anyways Battle Creek is so good. :awesome:

^Took down two guys, and then another guy who had an overshield... with the pistol.

Master Chief, my man, I wasn't aware you were still on the Hype.

Hmmm. That's a shame. I'd like to have all the games as I've bought my roommate an XBX360 for Christmas and it already comes with Reach and Fable III. And I was hoping to catch up with the series by buying 3 and 3 ODST eventually since they are pretty cheap and it'd be nice to have the ''main" installments of the series all in HD.

When asked if they had any plans for a the 10th anniversary of Halo 2 or any other Halo games, the 343 Rep did not deny it. He kind of smiled and hinted at how we might get something for those. I don't remember who the interview was with though - I found it on YouTube.

You never say never with games... More so with popular franchises like Halo.

Halo 2 Anniversary = $$$

The first Halo game is undoubtedly my favorite of them all, and part of the reason that is so, is because of the sound effect of the assault rifle. In the first game, it sounded powerful and menacing, in later Halo games, it subsequently sounded insanely weak. Going from a "badoom badoom badoom" type sound to a "pop pop pop" sound. So I'm wondering, does the assault rifle have its sound effect left intact in the Anniversary game?

No kidding.

Guess we're waiting until June for a Halo 4 trailer. Awesome .

I'd rather it be this way than have them release something that may not be completely polished and have the proverbial fan whining/crying that would eventually ensue.
