Amazing!! The most faithful to the looks of the comics from all of the Marvel movie villains!!

Loki is pretty close, but yeah this takes the cake and his expression is very different from the one in the trailer which gives me hope that he will be able to emote from that thing fairly well. Just so badass overall, marvel is going to own this summer!

Anyone want to be a pal and explain why Red Skull's face is... like that?

I read through some of his Wikipedia profile and it says that originally he looked normal and wore a red mask, but here he looks like he's got a red skull for a face, and is wearing a human mask.

im not sure mcfly but in the article it mentioned that the super soldier serum brings out youre inner strength or something like that. so im guessing Red Skull took a version of the super soldier serum and since hes such an evil bastard thats how he turned out. as opposed to how Cap turned out.

what do you symbolise could be the case more acurately perhaps. fear, death, hate, superiority and violence for skull. strength, courage and determination for cap. for blonsky i'm not sure if his transformation signified a lust for power so much. maybe his feeling weak for being old lead to the spiking of his bones for protection.

they are skipping to his representation after he disfigured himself with his trick cigarettes. which was long running and perhaps more iconic. this is along the lines of other changes from the comics like the hulk not being created by a gamma bomb, and thor not being donald blake and stumbling onto his heritage, and ironman's father being part inventor of the power source for the ironman suit. at least the marvel studios' films only feel like they are changing things so they can tell the story in the allotted time while maintaining the spirit of the story. most the time they are finding more reasonable explanations for things than they were in the comics.

I know what you mean, it's the dark shading around the side of the skull and the brow, it looks like model paint...

Also, he's not moving...so there's that :P

C- in translating that design to real-world texture.

I can be more forgiving if the skull was an actual mask, but from what I've read that doesn't seem to be the case.

Im going to say that Hugo is going to absolutely take the spotlight in this movie. By far the best villian adaptation Ive ever seen.........

That's exactly what I thought. Then I saw the entertainment weekly logo and I knew this was the real deal. It looks awesome and you can still see Hugo in there. For me, this totally makes up for Captain America's lackluster costume.

if the super serum would bring this out on someone selfish and evil like this (red*@°#§¬ç+) character than why is steve rogers looking human after all
no..... its a ''gone bad'' experiment .....or the cosmic(both) dont know it yet!!! cube ......
which has a bad side effect on the transformation....

red skull would not look so much different than any other if there wasnt a side effect....
just take a look at the hulk, the side effect of turning green is not the super soldier serum but the gamma radiation....
