Just thought I'd stop in and throw down my 2 cents for all that they are worth (2 cents apparently).

I've been a fair weather comic book fan off and on for about 10 years, I love the idea of superheroes, super hero movies, super hero games etc.

It wasn't until about a year ago that I actually got into the comic books themselves due to a friend at work telling me I should read Blackest Night. I did that, read Brightest day and then for the first time ever went out and bought comics in the form of Flashpoint (All of them). I was hooked and the idea of the titles starting from one just sounded like an opportunity that was to good to pass up.

For me Justice League #1 was a great launching period, I really liked the back and forth between Batman and GL. My only concern is the way the characters seem to have been written, Batman is confident and judgmental to the point of being a *****e, Green Lantern is cocky to the point of being a *****e and from the two lines of dialogue Superman seems to buy into his own hype to the point of being a *****e..... does this mean we are getting a Justice League full of *****es with Cyborg playing the downtrodden nice guy?

(On a side note I think I registered like 3 weeks ago but only got the nerve up to post now, you guys all seem so comfortable with each other, like locals in a bar and now I'm the new guy, wearing the shirt that's far too tight.)

By the token of your logic, than being a superhero does presuppose being a *****e. Interesting way to perceive the whole phenomenon: they're all *****es.

Well, I would never ask them, because I really do not care at all for the extended Bat family, with the exception of Batgirl, but that is another argument for another time.
