you know if there is anything that the bond and star trek reboots have taught us, its that you don't have to throw out the classic music we all know and love to make a great film.
All the James Bonds are relatively in the same continuity. For Star Trek they had Leonard Nimoy be old Spock, so it wasn't like they were doing a "complete startover, forget all the older ones" reboot like Nolan's Batman.

Just came home from seeing the hobbit at midnight (very good adventure movie! Don't listen too much to those bashing reviews)... Anyways! I saw the new MOS trailer in the previews!!! I exploded with excitement and the trailer, believe it or not, got a big applause at the end. It was so ****ing cool! One of the best trailers I've seen in years! I couldn't wait to get home and tell you guys about it. Than I saw it had just been released online :-) It's an amazing piece of work!!

Does any one know where I can download this trailer in Full HD, so it can be played on the PS3??

Nods in agreement.

What's this buzz about a different trailer with the Hobbit... early Christmas gift?

I was wondering if what Superman is puking while by Zod is water and not blood. Can any one confirm that?

Trailer was solid. Gave me goosebumps from the beginning to the middle and then when he took off and flew.

Very emotional. We may finally see the Superman film we have been waiting for quite some time!

I like the emotional and dramatic tone with action scenes toward the end.

I think the next trailer will have some drama and emotion, but will have more humor scenes and more epic action.

That would be a great move by Snyder and WB's actually to have this online trailer and then a different one where Jor El/Crowe is talking instead of Jonathan Kent/Costner did in this one.

Kinda like how we had two different teasers between the both of them talking.

What's the title of the choral music (not the Lisa Gerrad at the beginning) that starts when Superman takes off?

I'd actually prefer them to save as much wow as possible for the movie instead of putting it in the trailer.

I would agree with you if DC. Was coming off of two or three amazing/financially successful films featuring different super heroes. Right now DC is coming off of 3 successful Bat films one horrible GL movie and a mixed to the enth degree reviewed Superman movie. If ANY current superhero movie needs a HUGE wow moment it's Superman and DC as a company. Just an opinion but I think we all know its true.

Syncopy should be the ones, along with DCE (DC logo is there), in making the DC films like Wonder Woman, the Green Lantern reboot, the Batman reboot, and the one they've been talking about alot now along with MOS: the JUstice League.

WHOSE WITH ME!

Also, the shot that people kept on getting confused by (Krypton, Earth, huh?), well it looks like Metropolis is being hit by a powerful beam from Zod's ship (aka Black Zero) that cuases a massive shockwave that throws cars and buses away and buildings apart near it. It does fit what we were told way back that Zod's story in MOS was that he wanted to remake Earth as New Krypton.

Well one thing is for sure; the trailer did more for me as a Superman fan than this one did.lol

Man, what a huge pile of excrement & disappointment. I remember going into this fired up, especially after the trailer and marketing tools. Hearing the John Williams theme in the beginning had me completely MARKING OUT. The anticipation of the return of Superman had me busting.

Then, the rest of the movie happened. I remember in the middle of the movie, I was so bored and tapping my foot waiting for it to be over needing to pretend I was into it because everyone around me knew how excited I was for this adaption.

I knew it and tried talking myself out of it. I walked out EXTREMELY disappointed. I hated the entire cast, top to bottom.

The story was laughable. Routh looked like a kid turned ken-doll trying to impersonate a legend.

The spit-curl and perfectly combed hair made my stomach hurt. Some good action scenes but even that was outdone with terrible-ness from the corny film.

Even months later, I rented it, bought it and it was even worse than the first time.

The movie seemed out of its element. A mockery. Not of its own. Lacked charisma. Til this day, I see SR merchandise and I walk the other way.

So, tonight, I'm going to watch Superman Returns and smile at every embarrassingly bumbling moment the film produced because without them, I would have NEVER witnessed the greatness of today's trailer and the jaw-dropping images of Henry Cavill in the suite. THAT is my Superman I've longed for way before SR and I actually got it!

I just ranted and it felt good. I can now put SR behind me for good. I will now view it as an appreciative effort and respect it because its a lore in Superman history, but that's where it will end and where a new franchise of excitement begins!

The fact that some people are whining about Superman not punching anyone after getting this trailer...expected, but...

Wow.

What a beautiful, powerful, and yet oddly subtle trailer. This is going to be something special.

Well I've been at work pretty much all day and finally got home to see this trailer and I got two words that best describe it.

FRICKEN EPIC this trailer gave me chills hopefully this is the Superman movie we have all been waiting for.

I like the designs of the ships. Finally something different and clean.

Saying the reaction to the trailer has been overwhelmingly positive is an understatement. Just look at the like to dislike ratio on its YouTube premiere.

Best case scenario in terms of promotion just occurred to WB.

I'm just glad that I don't have to watch the bootleg version of the CC trailer anymore.lol

I wonder if I have watched a different trailer...

I must say this: Seeing 'current' Lawrence Fishburne run isn't pleasant.
