ehhhh Begins was the better soundtrack, i like zimmer but i think they need someone else to make it pop. WHhat i wouldnt give to have Williams come back

I'm watching Rock Center with Brian Williams... He is interviewing JW. LOL...he reminds me of my father. JW says he is anti-iPod....lol. He doesn't own one, but he does own a cell phone...lol

I think Rises might have been the weakest. Begins felt strongest in my opinion. That was most epic, followed by The Dark Knight.

I feel the same. Like everyone else, I love "Like a Dog Chasing Cars" from the TDK soundtrack and Joker's creepy theme, but BB is my fave overall, particularly the sweet "Macrotus". I love the quieter themes just as much as I love Batman's powerful theme. Here's to hoping MOS will have a diverse enough soundtrack; there should be something in it for everyone. :yay: A soundtrack IMO isn't really memorable if all you can remember when you're leaving the theater is the main Superman theme. I want this soundtrack to slay!

Well, according to that one interview in the Score thread, it seems he wants to do something completely different from his usual norm.

That sounds great! It'll be more of a surprise this way. Now I'm looking forward to it even more. :D

I have one thing to say about this first trailer. I think it sucks. Why? Well, I think it's not appealing to me, and it does not make me curious enough to be excited for this film.

Again... Most people who think it sucks are the ones who knew it was coming... Those of use who are going to see it anyway (even if they think this teaser sucks). This teaser was for people who had no idea whats so ever and from those people I hear them buzzing. People asking me (Really, Me?) if I've seen the new superman trailer. We've been through all this. Maybe it might help if you look at some of the other teasers. Ones that only had narration over a symbol or a letter. :cwink:

Oh and of course, you know very well that the Snyder trailer is on the way. If you're any kind of Superman fan you'll be drooling over it. I mean come on, every one of us needs a Superman movie like this. We've seen campy, crapy, and creepy. It's time for captivating!

I don't know... I have my suspicions about anyone who comes on this board, saying the trailer or the movie poster sucks, and happens to have a Brandon Routh avatar. They tend to still be a little ********.

That's like... 4 things.

i'm also hoping that Warner Bros is smart enough to do a superbowl spot as well.

I think that's a pretty safe bet.

with a SR avatar I can only assume you're a fan of that film?

If you are, I would have thought you could get excited watching paint dry, because thats how exciting SR was.

The Russell Crowe narrated trailer is the best of the 2 current official ones.
I still thought the Comic Con trailer was AWESOME and clearly the BEST!

It has nothing to do with SR. I know that's gone and done, though, yes, I liked it a lot. I just think this trailer is just not appealing at all.

And about the avatar: yes, it's Brandon Routh. Just a picture I found and had never seen it before. I'll just change it to a smiley, then you can stop complaining about it.

you know, on that subject, the story really isnt that bad- i could easily watch the movie if the suit actually was red and blue instead of cyan and brown.

Going out on a limb here, but I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked Routh as Superman, I think he did a great job and his performance was one of the better parts of the film. The story and just overall boringness of the action (or lack there-of) is what made the film horrible.

I have high hopes for this film and trust that Snyder will do a good job. He's only directing and I love the look of 300 and with Watchmen, he clearly knows how to respect the source material. All I want is Superman to fly around and do really AWESOME things, is that too much to ask for?

Well when they did Batman Begins they did an 8 minute preview with Smallville's season 4 finale so I was thinking more like an 8 min preview with the Hobbit. I don't think they'l do it anyway aswell with Hobbit been about 3 hours long no doubt it'd add to the already long run time.

I'll see if i can dig up the link but i read somewhere that both Hobbit movies wqould have arunning time of 2.5 hrs.
Although WB is quite lenient with it's directors , from a purely business perspective having a 2.5 hrrunning definately is a plus consdiering this movie is already going to be released in 3-d.

He did the best he could with the material given to him.
Although he didn't have an acting background in the way Cavill or Bale had , i do think that he could grown with each movie.
Look at the Potter kids.

How can anyone defend him when he's barely in the film at all, didn't have that many lines and some of them showed pretty bad acting? I'd say Routh did a much better job as Clark than Superman. His Superman wasn't convincing at all to me and the costume designer and make up artist didn't help either.

I'd put the blame completely on Singer though.

I FINALLY, saw the teasers and loved them!

A lot of the front end was a bit of filler, but the back end of him playing in the yard was fantastic! (I loved that butterfly shot).

Both VO's are great (though, I was more partial to Jor-El). Overall it gave me chills and even made my girlfriend (a complete non-geek) a little misty eyed.

I preferred the Jonathan Kent version. It wasn't as depressing. :o

Jor-El's line trumps Kents by miles for me. The fact that it's a line from All Star Superman only makes it that much better. The delivery is so damn sincere that it just hit me emotionally in the right place.

I actually thought it flowed with the footage perfectly.
