Ugh. The title is the one thing Ive seen that Ive legitimately disliked.

Man of Steel: World's Finest

or

Man of Steel: Shadow of the Bat

would have been perfect. Instead the title is basically a marketing gimmick - it managed to squeeze the names of 3 well-known properties in while blatantly spelling out the plot of the movie.

I like Dawn of Justice. It hypes me for next year :)

Yeah, I have kind of grown to like the ring of "Dawn of Justice." "Batman v Superman" was a novel way of writing "Batman vs Superman" that made it more memorable, I suppose. I really don't mind the title at all. It's just going to be "BvS" in shorthand forever after anyway.

I didn't like it at first but its grown on me. Its more hopeful than just Batman v Superman.

8/10

It's grown on me. I'm sure there were better options but I could care less at this point.

Still seems like a pointlessly messy title to me. It's not terrible but it isn't needed either.

Spelling out the plot is actually a good thing. A compelling title conjures images in people's heads. Batman v Superman does exactly that. It conjures up images of the two fighting. It asks the question Who will win? People not following the film will wonder why they are fighting...Aren't they Superfriends?

The Dawn of Justice part lets people know this is where Justice League starts.

I always wondered why they called it Batman Vs. Superman Dawn of Justice.... Why not just "Dawn of Justice"? but then I remembered that they probably did it for marketing reasons...people wouldn't recognize a movie having Batman and Superman in it if it was just called "Dawn of Justice"
I just think the whole "Batman Vs. Superman" thing is sort of silly, when "we" all know they team up together and is the beginning of the Justice League.

Imho, it won't be silly if the reason for their conflict... i.e., these two characters radically contrasting philosophies and approaches about 'how to be the good guy'... basically says something about what is needed in the real world today to combat the forces of evil. I think the movie will have something to say about that from a mythic perspective. Basing that on things I have heard both Snyder and Terrio say (and Affleck and Cavill, for that matter) in interviews. I think they will be shown to be two sides of a coin, and that both sides are needed.
