I agree 100% on that. I've loved John Cassiday's art since I first saw it in "Gifted". I'd have loved for him to take over for Bryan Hitch.

Now, now. No need to be openly facetious. I mean, at least masque it a little.

It's a taste of styles. I happen to have a soft spot in my brain for MAD!'s work because of his work on the 90s X-Men books. I love the guy's style, especially for X-Men, but I think it happens to fit this book and these characters well. And it'll fit Loeb's writing just fine, regardless of what Loeb writes.

Some people don't want the book to move past what it was when Millar/Hitch were on it. Despite that making for something overly stale, it is nonetheless a fair and valid viewpoint.

And for some people, the surreal-exaggeration of MAD!'s style doesn't do it.

Who says comics can't be realistic? Has it ever occured to you that maybe the appeal of a comic sometimes isn't "big explosions" and "over-exaggerated heroes".

Yeah, Whedon could have turned Wasp (or Hawkeye, or even Cap!) into Buffy and given said character all kinds of Buffy-isms and Kitty-isms.

And Cassaday could have taken 3-4 months to get issues out, just like on Astonishing!
