I dont see how anyone can say they like Mad, then insult Leifield. They have about the same knowledge of anatomy, they both draw everyone overly muscled (Mad even moreso than Liefield here)...the only difference between them is Mad covers up his hackery with the classic Pat Lee trick of drawing a bunch of details on everything.
Say what you want about his "natural flow" but can you honestly read the big climactic fight at the end of Ultimates 2 and say Bryan Hitch's stuff was anymore coherent?
I love you. Mostly.
He's not, really. While I absolutely love Bryan Hitch's work on The Ultimates, so don't think I don't, the main problem with it is that the vivid realism to the artwork keeps the reader stuck on the outside, watching in. And the more complex and real it is, the harder it is to continually read it. That would be why film is the medium of moving pictures. Comics don't move. We have to fill the blanks in ourselves, and in those last fight scenes, especially, there was so much full action that there wasn't as much gutter to be involved. And that made the reading slow down, which in turn lowers its coherency. You're out of your mind.
Well... okay. Completely. As long as you promise not to be like a bitter lemon in my mouth.Just mostly?![]()

Of course, you'll tell me I'm wrong. But other people will know what I'm talking about.

They look exactly like their 616 counterparts.![]()
X-Men #313- Gambits arm is all f**ked up, and so are the faces.
X-Men #322- Look at how f**king huge and grotesquely muscled Juggernaut is. Not to mention the classic Leifeld "tiny waist, huge ****" Psylocke has going on.
X-Men #350- What the hell is wrong with Gambits nose?
X-Men #228- Same problem with Psylocke, Sabertooths anatomy is all messed up, and he seems to be doing some crazy anime thing with it? Psylockes face is horrid
Did the original Ultimates have this much XXX title stuff?
I don't see anything wrong with this one. The faces look fine to me.X-Men #313- Gambits arm is all f**ked up, and so are the faces.

The guy sucks. He's also a terrible visual story teller. I will give you that Hitch isnt a superb storyteller either, but like Jim Lee, he can at least make up for it with BEING ABLE TO DRAW.
