Could the big guy on the far left be Abomination? Emil Blonsky is Russian. Hmmm?

y'know i'd been thinking and thinking, trying to remember a Russian bad guy who looks like Hulk and had pointy ears or horns...

CONGRATULATIONS! you win 1st Prize :D

If it is Emil, i'd love that... :)

anyone know if there's an actual picture or panel featuring the hulk in the annual?i'm not getting it until friday after school.

Where is Thor's hammer and is there a chance we will see him back in action?

Since the Thor "super-tech gear" supposedly belonged to the European Super-Soldier Initiative, I'm guessing that Thor's evil half-brother Loki (who has fooled everyone into believing that he's the scientist who invented the hammer, the belt and the rest of the suit) has Thor's stuff locked away somewhere.

At the end of issue #3(the great trial issue),is that Banner who contacted Pym letting him know he's alive?Or was this someone else?If it was Banner, does this mean that Pym did something Fury and Co. were not aware of to help Bruce out?

Yes, that was Banner calling Pym, because Pym didn't give Banner the right kind of sedative so that he would wake up in time to become the Hulk and survive the nuclear explosion.

I totally dig seeing Thor as a commie. :D

But seriously, that's f***ed up. :o

Loki probably gave Thor's gear to a Russian super-soldier. It seems that Hydra or AIM has just OWNED S.H.I.E.L.D.! ;)

Left to Right: Abomination, Evil Thor?, Crimson Dynamo, Evil Cap?, ???, Black Widow

Abomination; i'm betting it's that Dr Brankin character. he's been involved in much of the behind the scenes stuff in the Ultimates. and he would have access to Banner's formula. that's not evil Thor. that's a russian supersoldier with Thor's magic 'armor' on imo. i can't remember the name of the guy but there was a russian superman type with hammer and sickle as his weapons; Vanguard i think it is. yeah, that's gotta be Crimson Dynamo, Red Guardian, and Black Widow. that girl behind Natasha is probably Darkstar. and i guess this would connect to the Annual somehow since Fury dissed some russian military official.

SumOfGod,did Pym purposely give him the wrong dosage?

Yes, Fury told Pym that it was going to be his last assignment so he sabotaged it.

Actually we don't know that it was Pym who sabotaged it. Could've been Fury or anyone else. Or it might not have been sabotaged at all.
Oh and as for it being a Russian superteam, I mean that's possible but I doubt that any Russian superteam nowadays would frequently use the colour red and the hammer/sycle (at least not a government sponsored superteam). The more likely option would be Millar ultimatizing a villian group as being extreme communist terrorists. But even that seems unlikely given Millar's stance as a socialist (as in, while I don't think the man is a communist, it seems that defaming politics to the far right are more his MO)

I don't know what to think anymore...

y'know what dude, I was just waiting for you to come back to this post, and of all the reactions i thought you might give that cover, that was the second one I thought of.

The first was,

what SumOfGod MIGHT have said said:

maybe the russians aren't "bad guys" per se. the attack on Hawkeye could have been retaliation for something they think the americans did. and all of it could really be Loki playing both sides/forcing a confrontation. i'm not yet sure what Natasha's role is in this though.

Pym looked surprised when Banner called him. i don't think it was him who messed with the dosage.

presicely what I think. I don't think Pym's going to be such an egocentric idiot as to botch his last job for the largest security agency on Earth.

It somewhat tarnishes one's reputation...

He was already outed as a wife-beater, how much more tarnished can it get.

that question was answered in the Ultimate Defenders 1st appearance where a newspaper published pictures of his disproportionately small junk.
