But also Cap gave Ultimate Hulk a good beating in their fight. So its reasonable to say that in an open arena like a field, and if Hank was more prepared, Cap could still kick his butt.
He is a trained soldier, a stratigist and combatant, plus he has all that super soldier serum in him making him stronger and faster.

Didnt Hank squash Cap's ass in the first volume of Ultimates, Cap didnt see it coming but just like in any fight all it takes is one good hit. Cap might be the better fighter and would probably beat Hank 8 out of 10 times but Hank still has a punchers chance.

Actually the whole plane is intact, if you go back and read the issue you will see that they only distroyed the wings and nothing else. At first it looked to me like they ripped the plane in two and I had a big problem with that (because of the whole decompression at that hight). However if you look closly you will note that the plane is for the most part intact. I dont know where people get this idea that Mrs. Bush is dead, because I dont see that.

Who gives a F**K if she died, people are debating this as much as Magneto in New Avengers. WHO GIVES A F**K

Yeah i wasn't buying Ben in shackles at least not ultimate Ben grimm.. suicide super soliders should have been all the easier for him imo. He should be the anchor guy like banner. I didn't like that too much espcially after reading Ult. FF. and ultimate nightmare, ext.. no freakin way buddy. Its gonna be a good fight though. Iron Man 6 where you at?

By next issue when Ben gets to put up a fight, I think he will be doing the second most damage next to Hulk. He'll be an anchor, he'll get his due.

Also,,,is Laura Bush dead?? We didn't see her fall out of the plane. Yeah ...ol' George screams her name...but couldn't it have been out of concern?? After all the plane was actually still in tact on the tail end...which is where she probably was. Just guessin'....

just look at Crimson Dynamo's line straight after Bush's:

"Oh, don't worry about her...

... You're not going to die for hours yet."

kinda implies to me that they're both alive, waiting to be saved in issue 12 (or 13)

The plane's clearly intact too. I suppose when the super-soldiers flew through the wings and severed them from the plane, the people inside may have experienced 'some mild turbulence' and of course, Ol' Dubyah's going to be worried about the missus.

How is it wishful thinking? I doubt Millar's ever woken up one morning and said, "Boy, you know, I really wish that Laura Bush would die." It was a dramatic moment, and I'm sure that Laura wasn't the only person to be forcefully ejected from the plane.

Thinking it tasteful or not is a matter of opinion. Saying that Millar would love to see Laura Bush die is probably ignorant. Then again, look who it is. -_-

Well, technically, yes.

Essentially, the Liberators are acting as the "Ultimates" of several countries, mostly consisting of what seems to be a technological/genetic alliance between China, the Middle East, and Russia. I'm surprised North Korea isn't in there. Despite these countries traditionally being enemies of America, they are responding to the actions of America so far as the comic's events are concerned. Fury has used the Ultimates team as a part of foreign policy, Persons of Mass Destruction, to attack and cripple nations with nuclear capabilities, and as part of the war in the Middle East. The Liberators are formed and attack in what is, pretty much, a terrorist action.

So, yeah. Due cause.

Finally got this issue today and it was worth every penny. Finally we get to see them do MORE than just take an ass whoopin'. And I admit I grinned like an idiot during three moments. 1) Thor's empty cell 2) The return of Hawkeye, in full costume and all; and 3) The return of the Incredible Hulk. Everything from the silouhette with the baseball cap on up was just gold. This is going to be one of THE best mass smackdowns that I have seen in a while.

Oh, and I picked up Astonishing X-men today which also rocked so I'm all smiles today.
