CrypticOne, no she doesn't really. 145 lbs. was really a made up weight class to accommodate the Cyborg/Carano fight since they had trouble making weight before hand.

Plus who does she fight at 145 lbs even? A jacked up Cyborg? Feh.

145 lbs was only a fake weight class anyway. They made it up for Carano/Cyborg.

FYI, not sure what the terms of her Invicta deal is but there's also Sara McMann, Olympic wrestling silver medalist and currently undefeated in MMA still. Would be a good fight with Rousey they could promote a lot but she's with another promotion, said she wants to build experience.

would'nt mind a coenen fight either since unlike slow plodding kaufman atleast marloes has foot work and uses her reach advantage to possibly keep ronda at bay with jabs and push kicks

imo if you lack good foot work you will never beat ronda lack of foot work = wont stop ronda from closing the distance

Thing is, Coenen's also in Invicta. I wouldn't mind that fight either mainly just to have a fresh opponent for Rousey. Plus she size going for her as well.

are they solely under contract to invicta or is it like any other indy promotion where they just accept fights and fight there

Not sure how the Invicta deals are structured. Sara McMann says she could go to Strikeforce any time. I think if ZUFFA brings in anyone they want them on exclusive ZUFFA deals.

It seems on regional scene guys want to be able to move up to the UFC or Strikeforce if they get the call on a moment's notice so it seems they go fight by fight deals or have very limited fight contracts with these smaller outside organizations. Sometimes the regional ones will give the fighters their blessing if they have the opportunity to move up to the big leagues.

At the same time, who knows where Strikeforce will even be a year from now. But it's still here for now despite what some have said.

DoomsdayApex, was it you that said Strikeforce would be dead by last June? Whoever it was that said it, still here dude .

LOL I liked Bendo/Edgar better than Bowling/Saffiedine.

It's entertaining seeing Rousey and her amazing abs take care of business. Kaufman looked like a dear in the headlights and you could practically hear the "oh ****" when Ronda just cornered her and grappled her to armbar hell.

The broadcast peaked at 676,000 viewers for the Rousey vs. Kaufman Strikeforce bantamweight title, which is also the highest number this year for Strikeforce. In total, the Rousey vs. Kaufman bout drew 908,000 viewers, if you include Sunday's replay of the fight, which Rousey won via armbar in just 54 seconds.

The average viewers presents a 23 percent increase in viewers since Rousey's last fight against Miesha Tate in March, which reportedly drew an average of 431,000 viewers.

Oh man, let it not be true. What's co-main eventing that? I doubt they'll throw someone else in with Jones. Unless they can pull a heavyweight fight up for him, but I doubt Dana and the UFC would do that too. Messed up news, if true.
