Erin Moriarty as Sue Storm:

Throw Lamorne Morris in for Reed Richards consideration too. I never watched New Girl, but he’s pretty good in Woke on Hulu. He’s charismatic & charming; and I could buy him as the smart guy in the room.

I liked Patel in THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY.....I can see him as Reed.

Dev Patel for Reed. He's on the younger side, but I want to see the FF grow into how they are in comics today. I don't want them to start out fully formed.

He'd be 32/33 by the time the FF likely starts filming, and young enough for a long running franchise.
Yeah, Patel is one of my favorites for Reed now that Isaac is out of the picture.

I just can't wait to see this cast come together. I wonder if Reed will be the first one cast, or the first one we hear about.

Dev would be an amazing Reed

I could definitely get behind the idea of Patel as Reed, he's been fan cast as other characters that never felt natural. This one feels just right.

I would love this, he has so much charisma. Plus, imagine him facing off against Henry Golding’s Namor. Electric!

I’m rewatching the Spider-Man films now with a specific eye toward the directing - not the casting or production design or script, just the directing.

And this guy has some talent.

Seriously, if somebody showed me these films without any context and asked me what I thought of the director, I’d say “This guy’s pretty good.”

As long as he has a good script and understanding of/respect for the FF, I think he can do a good job.

Which bits are you seeing in particular that makes you think that?

There’s no one particular moment or item, it’s a general gestalt.

Watch any random 5 minutes of one of Tim Story films and any random 5 minutes from one of the Watts films, and you’ll see a night and day comparison.

The images, sound etc. in the Watts film all work very cohesively with the story the script is telling. The Tim Story films, by comparison feel sloppy and incongruent.

I hate to knock Tim Story, because I feel his heart was in the right place, but he was a lousy director.

Not a big fan of Watts but this sequence impressed me.

Still remain cautiously optimistic about his FF film.

Yeah, I had issues with FFH, but those issues primarily relate to the story and script - and Watts doesn’t have a writing credit.

But if you just turn off the part of your brain that is saying: “Wait a minute... why is he doing THAT?!” and focus on how Watts translates the script he was given to screen, I think he has real talent for doing some interesting things.

I read the FF 2005 script before I saw the movie, and I read the novelization for ROTSS before I saw that. In both cases, I could see a great film in my mind... but Tim Story couldn’t pull it off.

In the case of Far From Home, I think Watts had a weak script but turned it into a watchable film.

I went to elementary and high school with the real life Keef! Extremely talented even at a young age and a super nice guy.

that’s awesome!

Keef (aka Keith Knight) was the first black kid to come over my house. Like most urban areas in the Northeast during the 1970s, our city was very segregated. When I was in the fourth grade I told my parents Keith was coming over to read comic books (ON TOPIC!) one afternoon after school without mentioning his racial background. My parents found him to be delightful, but much later my mother told me she thought my dad was going to have a aneurysm when we came through the door.

Anyhoo, it's nice to see someone truly deserving of success get what is coming to him.

Honestly, out of all the names listed, I'd be surprised if even one of them ends up getting cast. Maybe two if Krasinski and Blunt really does happen.

Agreed; I was just moreso surprised to see Ramos’ name even up there.

The favorites are.....interesting. Esposito's great in everything, but I wouldn't buy he, Graham and Krasinski as college classmates. I would also struggle seeing Blunt and Ramos as siblings, and the 5'5" Graham as a former collegiate football standout.

Based on that list I'd probably go with Fassie, Montgomery, Blunt, Krasinski and Cena.
