Days of Future Past "Only have one more new character" in sequel says Vaughn

I think the new character will be a female since 3 out of the 4 are part of the brotherhood now. And they need a female x-men now.

Storm or Omega Red. But i don't see the X-men and the Brotherhood fighting each other in this movie.

Omega Red is a likely possibility too as he ties in with the Russians

I think the second movie will step away from all the Cold War stuff. Omega Red is more fitting for a Wolverine solo movie, or X4.

How does the Bryan Singer interview support the idea of Synch? He's not mentioned anywhere.

Okay, so I'm not going all the way back to read the first post. Did Vaughn and Singer say that there will be only one new mutant in a sequel, or is a poster asking if only one mutant was added who would we want it to be?

Either way I want to see Sinister. I think that FC sets up for a pretty good story for Sinister.

Considering the cold war setting, I for some reason see colossus fitting in perfectly. Plus they don't have a strong guy on the team, so his powers wouldn't be redundant.

There is a lot of story potential with him and I think everyone can agree his potrayal in the other movies left something to be desired.

Only works if they treat this like a reboot though.

Synch is supposed to be a civil rights leader and main theme in the next movie is about civil rights.

As long as he is black lol I'm cool with it.

Anyway, I could see Colossus, Sinister, Omega Red with another Wolverine Cameo in the film. Wolverine comes in to save the X-Men, but not as a team up. They all just happened to be in Moscow when Omega Red is attacking and Wolverine comes in and says I got this and the X-Men escape to freedom. Nice cameo!

I actually agree, but I don't think they'll treat this as a reboot by the next film. The Wolverine is still in development and I think they'll want to wait until the old series fades away before retroactively classifying First Class as a reboot.

I would love to see Synch as a civil rights leader in the next film. But if Vaughn only ones one new character I would have the new character be a girl and bring Darwin back to bring some diversity to the team. The team has a serious shortage at the moment, especially in variety.

Yeah, why he have to be the first mutant to get killed.

Apocalypse! NOW!

I know it will probably never happen but... damn, would I love to see him in a movie.

I seriously doubt it'll happen, but I would be totally fine with Darwin coming back...

Not only are his powers make for an interesting visual, but it would stop all of the whining and complaining around the internet about him. :p On the other hand, it would really take away from the meaning of his role in the first movie. So as I said, if he comes back in the sequel, he would have to be cruicial to a turning point of the movie's storyline.

D*mn it SuperSoldier you're killing me lol. Are you saying I'm wrong by whining and complaining that the only BLACK mutant was the first to be killed? LOL, his return doesn't have to have some great importance. He just comes back and life goes on. Problem solved.

However, I don't want him coming back. I don't see the point. All I was saying was it is ashamed that even in a mutant movie that the black man still gets the short end of the stick. Also what was the meaning of his role? Did his death really signify some great importance?

After this interview, the character that is coming to the sequel is definitely Synch. There was a rumor that Synch was cast in the movie and he was supposed to be played by Tony Rich. He was supposed to be a minority right activist. Here's the link

Who the heck is Tony Rich!!!!!!!

I don't believe that will be the case even if it were true. The Box office is lower then FOX wanted. Even if FC makes enough to get a sequel FOX is gonna want a way found to include Wolverine, heck maybe even Halle Berry/Storm. I read headlines already saying that FC suffered because of no big name stars like Jackman and Berry. I hope that won't be the case but the suits will feel it is and want Wolverine shoehorned in somehow. They may just go with X4 altogether.

I'm lost, but what exactly was his meaning in the movie??

Vaughan said Sunspot was supposed to be in the film but they didn't have enough in the budget and time to fit him in. He maybe in the next one.
