The Dark Knight Rises Opening Logo Sequence

what about broken glass forming a bat symbol. possible covered in blood

What about dark, stormy clouds and the Bat-Symbol forming through the lightning and thunder?

A real dissected dead bat pinned on a table. And the movie starts in Arkham.

I actually like that idea a heck of a lot. It's sick, twisted, and deliciously macabre. But it wouldn't fit in a 12A. And I don't really see how it fits in with the movie. And it would be too reminiscent of Goreno.

Pathetic Phallacy is so dead it's Frankenstein.

And the coding numbers forming a Bat-signal would be groan-inducingly god-awful.

The way I see The Dark Knight opening - in terms of plot, is for the audience to immediately be thrown into an action sequence at night which involves Batman hunted by the police. We don't know the build-up, we don't know why he's here, what he's after. All we know is that the Police are shooting and shooting to kill.

So maybe the opeing logo can be formed from flash-lights?

Hey, that's what I thought as well yesterday, but I didn't post it. Nice! :yay: :up:

Begins = Amber (Yellow)
TDK = Blue

Perhaps the scheme for the third film will be Red to complete the Primary Trifecta...A symbol involving blood is a good place to start...

One thing;
Blood is a bit obvious, too non-12A, and would remind me of the god-awful opening sequence of Sweeney Todd.

Another thing is that all the previous opening logo's have been formed by an element that becomes a key weapon in the film.

Bats (Batman's bat-attracting device)
Fire/explosion. (Hospital fireballing)

It shouldn't start with the Bat logo, instead it should be the opposite this time:
Title of film at the start and finish the film off with the bat signal in the sky (as opposed to Bats gliding into the screen in BB and Bats driving off into the light in TDK)

It's interesting how the last shot of batman holds up at the end of each film.

BB, he is sweeping to us: Saying, I'm here. Here i come. I'm coming, etc..
TDK, he is riding away from us: he's a fugitive, on the run, not welcome, etc..
Pt.3, he should probably just be standing still and tall. like the end of Batman 89. Saying: you know who i am, you accept it. Now let me do my job.

The end should be exactly like the end of Mask Of The Phantasm. He stands there for a moment, the bat-signal is turned on, and then he sets off to do his job.

It all depends on what the story of the movie will be.

I think it should be some sort of metaphor of Batman being broken down from the events of TDK (the busted bat-signal sitting in a warehouse?) or a metaphor of Batman being redeemed in the eyes of Gotham. Hmm

Does no-one else think that Thunder and Lighting is horrendously cliched?

And the ending of the Dark Knight should be like this;

Alfred: "Well now that that's all done with, why not settle down for a hot cuppa"
Batman: "Oh alright then"

Alfred hands Batman a newspaper and a mug of steamy hot Horlicks.

The newspaper headlines says:
"Family circus act slaughtered: Boy survives"

Batman: "Alfred, isn't it about time I got msyelf an underage lover?"

Alfred; "Yes, you can dress him up in his red and green circus gear and have him pulls toys from your... utility belt in sticky situations"

Uncanny...you went from genuine to stupid in 1 post...

Superficially, it seems to me like the films are following the color progression of day-->night maybe?
Amber=Dawn, Blue=Day, ?=Night? Who knows if there's actually a logical progression to the colors. I could see Nolan omitting the opening logo altogether next time around.

Still...the grey color scheme would be perfect. So would red maybe, to signify dusk?

Snow blowing over a yellow Bat symbol. :D
I actually rather like the idea of the symbol forming through snow in very much the same way it did with the bats in BB. The snow blowing about could create a very cool effect.

this guy is flaming me for childishness and irrelevance in another thread. Lame Batman pedophile jokes in response to a an open credits sequence concept involving thunder and lightning. Maybe its just so brilliant i dont get it. Or maybe.....

We've had bats, we've had fire. There's only one logical answer: FIERY BATS ON FIRE

Don't be resented. Be a good sport. The jokes are lame but it's a good parody. And it's still the no.1 argument against the pro-Robin crowd.
Besides, I think the parody had nothing to do with the thunder and lightning. They just happened to be on the same post.
