As a mod (an unknown around these parts) I can just say this:
"The forum has a lot of people who feel that having a high post count, or being around a long time gives them the right to bully other posters, and to call their opinions baseless and stupid. That's just wrong, in my humble opinion. The viewpoint of the majority is just as important as the ones of the minority, and neither group has the right, nor the privilege to flame the other. Whatever happened to civility, and logical discussions, and intelligent debate? I guess it got washed away by 'teh venemz' and 'd jokr roks' and the avalanche of insensibility around these boards. The posters need to respect other posters, and more than that they need to respect themselves, coz in my humble opinion, civility takes precedence over arrogance, and flaming does not win anyone any points with other posters, so... straighten up, people. The rules apply to everyone, whether you are a newbie or a veteran. Don't flame other posters over differing viewpoints. Reasoning with logic and intelligence is acceptable behavior. The rest, well, is uncivilized, and belongs in the forums of the stone ages, when throwing rocks at each other was the way to get a point across."
