Pretty sure you're taking it too literally since that is the impression the general audience has. When I have to convey this to someone who doesn't know what I mean, this is literally the example I give them so it's relatable to their perspective. Obviously it is not Godzilla vs Transformers but that means little to anyone not you. Being defensive of it won't make audiences see it your way and the stubborness to not care what they think only guarantees this movie will flop if you can't attract the more casual audience to see it. No general audience, no success. No success, no sequels.Because the "mechs" can transform and the monsters look like Godzilla.
Give me a ****ing break.
