The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Paul Giamatti IS Rhino - Part 1

Since Alistair Smythe is now confirmed, I can definitely see an improved and more streamlined version of the Rhino suit in the Sequel, when the Sinister Six get formed.

If he made the Rhino suit, tentacles and Vulture's wings, I'm guessing the last 2 members of the 6 will be mechanical of some sort as well. Imagine Scorpion and Mysterio? Unless they decide to make Harry one of the six... Which is underwhelming, but would still be cool to have the bad guys gang up.

I don't think Smythe made the first Rhino suit that we're seeing in TASM2, considering it has all the Russian writing on it. Maybe in the third, Smythe then decides to make him a new and improved suit, but we'll see.

Maybe he steals it from Oscrop and then Russianizes it. Oscrop sees all the destruction he caused and says, "This guy has potential. Let's get him something to fix how Spidey defeated him and use him in our lineup."

I still wanna see what's behind those 6 doors. If it's actually all 6 costumes of the Sinister 6 I don't even know how to react.

I could totally see that happening.

I'm assuming the Vulture wings and Doc Ock tentacles are in two of those doors… unless those are separate chambers? I feel like whatever is behind those doors is going to make people jump out of their seats… not literally of course. t:

Marc Webb said in the trailer breakdown that he wanted the suit to look like something Aleksei could have built himself

he also said there are small hints touched apon towards its creation, for whatever that means

If this is something that Aleksei could have build himself, just imagine what Smythe could do with it. I really hope we get a Rhino Mark II in the sequel.

Yeah I think that's the case since Aleksei isn't supposed to be very bright.

Yup, Giamatti confirmed his return, and he will more than likely get a new suit. So if people dislike what we're getting in TASM2 it won't be a big deal.

I wonder how different the new suit would be. Rhino Mark I is obviously going to be massive. How big is he actually? Bigger than Iron Monger in Iron Man 1?

Might be cool if the next suit is a little bit smaller, but more advanced and packs more of a punch. Maybe it could be a bit more like Iron Man 3's Igor.

Same! But it would be cool to see some sort of change in the suit (upgrades) when we get to TASM3.

Agreed. Between the initial poster and the few shots of him from trailers, we've barely gotten a good look at him.

The initial poster makes him look very awkward. We had no word he was going to be on all fours. So the first look of him being that was weird. Still like what we see in the trailers.

i don't get it Hmarrs, do you want a humanoid rhino like in your previous posts, or do simply want a smaller mech?

giamatti is far from 9 foot. if we got a 616 rhino with giamatti as the man inside the suit, he would be 6 foot tall including the horn and no one would like that.

wanting a smaller mech is fair enough though.

Although Im not happy so much with the Tech Id be happy with that.
Of course im not looking towards the old suit although who knows.
Also the thing with the Tech is not so much that Im against it but Im not crazy about the design thats all.
Now if I had to choose between tech or not.I would have said not.
Why?Because the way the thread of the movie was moving with with Oscorp.I was expecting some halfbreed organic mix.
like the Lizard at least thats what they had been gearing us towards.


You guys have to understand if its a Mech suit ok then fine but im just done with the Mech suits they did the same thing with the Green Goblin in the first one and it seems there going that route now again.its just with so many villians in Mech suits eventually it will have a Transformer feel to it.Im just done with the Mech suits and the Black Superhero outfits.Every time they find somthing that might work in one movie they just kill in every other movie.Sombody please take a chance.

His design and overall look are much more appealing in the trailers than in that poster. That poster was just awful. But yeah, I really want to see Rhino in action, charging and causing some damage. Also too, outside of the SDCC footage (something we shouldn't have seen in the first place) and the quick shot of Aleksei firing the machine gun at Spidey, we have yet to really see Giamatti in this role. No real dialogue from him or otherwise. I wonder if they'll even show any of that before the film releases or if they'll continue to reuse those few quick shots of Rhino.

Yessir.

It's funny, the EU sizzle is basically an improved SDCC trailer. But we get a taste of Paul's dialogue as Aleksei in that trailer. Pretty funny if you ask me.

It'd be best for them to keep reusing the footage. That way, when we see the movie it'll be a real treat.

Outside of a mech suit, I think that idea would work best too. I never thought of that but it could've been interesting to see him as a guy who is mutated & has some features of a Rhino.
