The Amazing Spider-Man Possible plot leaked!!!

There's a couple villains that I wouldn't mind being rehashed for the movies. Mainly the weaker ones with not that much backstory (Electro, Sandman, etc).

Goblin and Ock tho, already have lots of good mythos to draw from. They're very ingrained.

Venom needs a blank slate and them to follow more what 90s TAS and TSSM did with him than the comics ******** random shove in...

I prefer the movie. I was annoyed by the comic.

Maybe I love the comic so much because I read it before I saw the film? I also love it that he didn't get the girl and remained a loser. It just seemed more realistic to me. The film was great, I understand why they made the changes, but the comic wasn't quite so predictable. I also love what they did with Big Daddy in the comic (it wouldn't have worked in a film) it made him a total, miserable, loser, rather than a cool action hero type.

Again though, both we're great in their own right.

By the way, I think this plot sounds awesome. I hope to god that this is the real deal!

The plot sounds like garbage(its "fate" the burgular is there? WTF?), and I love that people who *****ed and complained about the changes in the mythology are letting them slide now.

McGuire looked like Pater Parker, nerdy clothes and all. The new pics look so Twilight influenced, they make me want to barf.

Just because Peter has that fuzzy hair and the pics are from a romantic scene doesn't mean that it's twilight influenced.

I mean, Peter has almost always had that kind of hair and it's just one scene...

I wouldn't say Twilight influenced. That is like saying Inception is Matrix influenced, just because there is similarities doesn't mean the director is looking at Twilight, i think no director in Hollywood is look at Twilight to get inspired.

I just don't like his look as Peter Parker in general.

His look is current trend/popular/current cool - use whatever words you want - it goes against who Parker should be - a nerd out of touch with the youth of today.

That look doesnt make Parker stand out as a dork - a target for others to make fun of because of his nerdiness or appearance.

I don't care about mythology. I just want a good story. And Sam never gave us that. Just cheese on toast. This already sounds like a huge step-up.

P.S You sound like a very angry person...

well if you hate the hair i cant wait to here what people say about the suit lol. Damn thats gonna be a big debate.

its "fate" the burgular is there? .

Could it maybe be that Uncle Ben is saying it is fate because he is going to attempt to change the path that the burgular is going down? That does sound like the sort of thing Uncle Ben would try and do, convince a criminal to not make such a mess of his own life.

I assume that we would get quite a bit of Uncle Ben if Martin Sheen is playing him, so surely this scene may be fleshed out.

Also, I don't actually think you read anything after the fate part lol, the plot sounds great.

We have already had that 1960's Parker with Tobey. This is the Ultimate Spidey we are seeing now. He is more modern nerd. It's probably more how he acts than dresses.

I know you'll probably hate that it's more Ultimate...but I love it.

Love, Love, LOVE Ultimate.

This is a dream come true :woot:

Why dont you look at my post history and seeing whether Im a ranting lunatic before making a statement like that.

I just dont like inconsistancy.

People have been ranting about the changes in the mythology for years. There are dozens of cases in the reboot and raimi treads.

Spiderman 3 was a lousy movie, Ill be the first to admit that. But again, the complaints about the changes in what has been established Spiderman lore were a major reason why everyone was so unhappy with the direction Raimi took with Spiderman. But now its ok?

Changing a character's look isn't the same than changing the "mythology". You can have a Parker with slight more hair who still is a huge nerd.

Being a nerd isn't really about your looks... It's a way of acting. Have you seen the new Parker act? No? Ok then, how about saving your judgement until we actually see it?

PS: Peter Parker in the most recent comics (90s and forward) is quite a handsome guy. Don't forget that he was a big nerd before becoming Spider-man. After becoming Spider-man, he gained this big self-confidence boost and, generally, the artists started to draw him in a more handsome fashion. The movie takes place after he's already Spider-man. This isn't an origin story again...

Changes in mythology & his looks in the photos = Two seperate issues, I was addressing seperately.

bravo

Garfield's Peter Parker is already Spider-Man in this film? Since when? Source?

How is a hairstyle a change on Spider-Man lore?

The thread is called "Possible plot leaked!!!"
You guys are arguing about Garfield's hair.

Judging by Garfield's, can't we speculate the plot involves Electro zapping Peter, which causes his hair to maintain a static charge for most of the movie?

in this possible plot leaked that we should be discussing there is no electro...
;)
