Prince of Persia:The Sands of Time

oh HR...champion of the unappreciated and the little guy.....a right Mother Teresa you are

I'm not champion of the little guy and I don't hate the rich, I just hate it when the rich think having money means their **** don't stink.

Actually, their s**t don't stink. There are pills they take that make their poop smell like cinnamon buns. It costs 1,000,000 dollars a bottle.

Man, I wish every video game adaption had Bruckheimer attached. He seems to actually care about it unlike everyone else. He should produce Uncharted.

The trailer didn't really excite me. I also think it's rather insulting having Jake play the main character when there are plenty of actual Middle Easterners who could have played the role :csad:

Saw this trailer on Ninja last night...people immediately were saying, "dude, Prince of Persia, it's based on that game." It has name recognition.

Give Jerry Bruckheimer their names and Agent contacts. He will get back to you and them.

and not to sound like an ass....but casting Middle Eastern actors that have absolutely ZERO exposure to the movie going audience is hardly a good plan....especially for a big budget movie like this

It wouldn't look so obvious if (at least from the trailer) the rest of the cast didn't look so Persian as opposed to white lol

They were freshly white with dark brown raven hair, with the skin glistening in the sun it made for great golden fresh trailer... hi hoodim

I saw the trailer as well and it looked decent imo. Far as Jake he looked pretty close to the game character. You gotta remember this is hollywood and ur catering to more of a western style audience(nothing against the middle eastern peeps) its just how it works.
I think it will be a decent action flick and I hope it breaks that video game curse of movies that kindof blow.

and also, this is a film adaptation of a video game created by a white guy from NYC who graduated from Yale....its not like they are taking a Persian legend and casting whitey in it to make a quick buck

Just be glad they cast the lead in Ninja Assassin as an actual asian dude. They could have easily made him white.

I know, I just think that Jake looks silly.

I think he looks pretty good...he looks a lot like the character from sands of time and even the accent sounds pretty close

Great stuff.

that's just amazing, you did a great job with this...I actually thought this was real at first. :awesome:

I came into this thread and I thought that was an official poster. Good job!

cool poster by the way , thought it was real.

thanks guys :woot:

That seriously looks official. :wow:

If you could make a wallpaper outta this, we'd be best buds, you and I.

some asians were pissed cause the main character was korean not japanese

Some people are mad about any and everything.

I'm sorry but I'm over the no Persians are in this movie thing. I don't like it and I'm not saying that it isn't incredibly wrong and racist (thats hollywood for you) but whats done is done, I'm more concerned about the movie's quality now.

As I've said before, I'll still make fun of the white washing but I'm not going to cry about it anymore.

I get your point, but to call it racist is a bit much....to me, the word racist implies intent...and I don't think it was something done intentionally....and again...this is a film based off of a video game created by a white Yale graduate from NYC

all the iranian persians i know look just as white as any one else so i dont really care. i mean it would have been good to let an actual persian get the chance to do something big like this but w/e they didnt get a canadian to play wolverine either.

^You know the Wolverine thing isn't the same.

Eh, people never want to say that anything is racist these days. Atleast thats how I see it.
