I'm only chiming in to say that your sig is freakin awesome :woot:

Oh, and just to stay on-topic, I was probably looking forward to TKDR more than any other film this year, but, with the promotional materials released so for, Prometheus is quickly surpassing that. Can't wait for this movie.

Thanks.

To stray off topic a bit. TDKR does have [blackout]Aidan Gillen[/blackout] dying a fiery death in it's first five minutes, anyone whose seen Game of Thrones will appreciate the favour Nolan is doing us!

I was looking forward to Avengers as my top must-see movie this year, but Prometheus has easily made its way to the top.

DEFINITELY my #1 must-see movie of 2012.

Guy Pearce may be playing an old man?
Take a look at this screen grab from the TV spot,
I'd put money on the old guy being Peter Weyland.

Yea i can totally see Weyland as the kinda guy who would want to be there for all of this, against his doctors wishes, them saying he won't survive it etc.

I already said what Welyand was up to a few pages ago but I put it in a spoiler tag as some people have not noticed that yet and I didn't want to ruin the film for them.

I hope I have a better experience with this movie than AVP

My post from 2004 while I was on Vacation in White Plains, New York

I just got back from AVP, I didn't want to change tonights scheduled event,
plus there was no spiderman 2 around the theater. The movie was okay, I hated the audience I was with. In the back row above me a mexican guy kept speaking and commenting through the entire movie! Peoples cellphones went off and some guy shouted "this movie sucks!" People clapped when the predator weapon nearly sliced the paleontologist's head off as he was escaping the shaft.

Every five seconds it was

"damn!"

"oh s***"

"Now the predator respects her"

"that was amazing!"

We got the 9:40 showing so all the young teens on a friday night came

Reminded me too much of Jurrasic park, with the international team, wealthy billionaires funding secret project/expedition and a giant monster chasing them.

My uncle thought the part where the predator made a shield and staff was preety cheesy

Pred- "duh heres a shield hyuck! and a staff hyuck, the pointy end is here hyuck!"

adding some more comments, all the young people keep snickering or making jokes whenever waled(sp) was smoking his pipe that helps him, such immature people

I am actually more excited for this film than any other one...I don't know anything about this film and its exciting

please just pull that name called Worldclass Sh!++y Anderson out on this thread from now on.

I don't think I can put in words how much shame I feel being from the same city as Paul W.S. Anderson.

You turncoat! :argh:

:cwink:

I won't say Prometheus is my #1 most anticipated movie (Avengers have that honor), but it is easily my top five and it may end up edging out TDKR in my #2 spot. Everything so far looks amazing with a stellar cast and incredible visuals.

Well I guess this pretty much destroys a "Not a prequel" debate

Steven Spielberg was born in my old neighborhood :awesome::up:.

That ship design is pretty ****ing awesome.
almost every design is perfect IMO. i am dying out excitement for the retro 70's scifi designs.

its been over 2 years since Moon was realesed. i have been saying for 2 years that we need more retro scifi movies.

Duncan Jones has been on a one man mission to bring back intelligent Sci Fi movies which isn't surprising considering his from the loins of Ziggy Stardust :)

I can't wait to see what kinds of weapons they'll be packing.

The ship is beautiful looks like a ron cobb design, but what i like the most is the biomechanical aesthetic of the alien world( derelict ship, SJ etc).
