I'm getting some jitters, too. I have the utmost faith in Ridley's skills, and everything points to a fantastic film. That being said, I can't help but feel that this all seems to perfect. Like its going too well. I mean this project so far has been a dream come true for most of us, and seems to be defying the usual pitfalls of these type of dream projects. Something has to go wrong at some point. The fact it hasn't happened yet, or is yet unknown to us really unnerves me.

before anyone kills me im not comparing the theme or movie in general to promethius.

but...i watched Event Horizon last night. and the suits and overall design of the movie reminded me of the promethius trailer.

the helmets, the darkness, the radars.

Event Horizion is similar to Alien because some of the people who worked on the art and design for Alien worked on Event Horizon.

The director Paul W.S Anderson is a huge Ridley Scott fanboy which is why his movie Soldier is set in the same universe as Blade Runner and why he Directed and Produced the Alien Vs Predator movies.

Eh not entirely. I've just followed enough productions and seen enough films to know that things aren't always what they seem. This film is on an insane pedistal and I wonder if it can live up to our expectations.

I noticed that too.

Compared to Charlize though, he's second-tier. The paps are gonna set their eyes Theron moreso than Edgerton -- even in a MMA event.

I haven't been keeping track of this movie as much as TDKR, but from what I've seen of it I'll definitely be seeing it when it's released. It has a great cast, it brings Ridley Scott back to his roots, and it deals with a concept I find fascinating: ancient astronaut theory.

Watch the films, and forget those godawful AVP films. They are not even a part of the canon, and have been written out entirely.

Agreed. Alien and Aliens really is all you need to see. Alien 3 was passable, but Resurrection was crap IMO.

Ridley Scott is not perfect. He's made his share of heavily flawed films.

But I have high hopes for Prometheus.
